My wife's 4 month old Speedmaster Olympic Edition sub dials are slightly off. The 30 minute dial is slightly off center to the right when you reset the chrono. I took it into my watch store and they fixed it in 30 minutes. My question is:1. How or why does this happen? It wasn't like that when we first got it 4 months ago. All the sub dials were perfectly centered.Has this happen to anyone else? Should i worry that this watch is some how damaged now? Thanks for any feedback...
Hello All,I had a recent gift from an ill family member. I wanted to spend it on something that can be remembered and passed on to my son eventually. I wanted a nice keepsake. I started my search looking at dress watches and enlisted the help of some of our fine members here (hi Dennis).I then realized that I may be able to get close to one of my grails - Speedmaster Professional. I always wanted one from 1969 for various reasons. The '69 was too expensive - but I might be able to get a decent mid-70s version. So, in searching for the mid '70s Speedy Pro, I ran across a Wakmann triple date chrono. Fascinating watch and reminded me that Tom has one - contacted him and "chatted" about the watch and he mentioned the Speedmaster version of the watch - huh?So I went searching again and came across this, for what I believe to be a very fair price (sellers pics):Omega Speedmaster Triple Date ChronographI can still hold on to the (unrealistic) dream of obtaining my '69 Speedy Pro. And
I need (well i don't need one but i want one) an APwhat do the 15300 and 15400 owners say?worth splashing out a bit more for those extra 2mms? guys
Can anyone help me ? A friend was showing me a couple of old Omega'she inherited. They are both pretty beatup and frankly don't look as if they have ever been in the top end of the marque. At the bottom of the dials is the legend Swiss Made . My question is , was there a specific year or date that the words , Swiss Made , were dropped by Omega ? Did all the other watch manufacturers do it at the same time ( no pun intended ) ? If you have the answer...please let me know.
