- Cheap-looking, oversized, hunk of shiny metal. I was appalled when I received it. No way would I give this as a gift to anyone, especially not to my husband, from whom it was intended.

I'm coming to the end of my Hamilton SOTC. I know I am weak on anything post-WWII, so there is room for growth. I especially am interested in putting my toe in Hamilton Electric waters (is that a deadly pun?)...Anyway, here are my last two installments. The first is a ca. 1927 Oval with plain bezel in ggf. This was Hamilton's only model using a somewhat unfortunate lug/case design, necessitating curved spring bars. Many examples have had the lugs extended, allowing the use of straight spring bars (this one has the original lugs). The two-tone dial is rather unique, the design engraved into the metal of the dial. The refinisher can thus use the engravings as a template for the markings. I considered having this one refinished, because of the irregular patina, but ultimately decided to leave it the way it is. It is rare to find an original dial which hasn't been "cleaned" of most its paint, down to the skeletonized markings. Finally a 1941 Lexington, Hamilton's first stainless steel mod
Hot and humid weather so I'm looking to source an OEM rubber strap for my 15300. Does ap make them and if so where may I acquire one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
