Omega 500 watch need info how much it would be worth????? IS IT RARE????
VINTAGE 1955 OMEGA AUTOMATIC WATCH. The inside movement reads Omega Co swiss seventeen 17 jewels unadjusted and there is also a number 14877326. Also on the movement under the Omega symbol it says 500. The inside case reads Omega Watch Co Ross GX-6267 0186250. As you can see this was given as a gift for Christmas in 1958 which is inscribed on the back of the case. The watch runs and keeps time. I believe it to be gold plated but I can't seem to find a mark so I will let you be the judge and sell it as is. Morning all from the UK, I had some great comments regarding my latest quandry regarding which purchase from my list. I'm so glad I bought the above. Watch + Strap colour
I am curious as to which colour watch strap you guys prefer with the colour of the watch, gold, silver, stainless and so on.I have a new Hirsch sheepskin 18mm light brown and I love the strap but it does not seem to suit any watch that I put it on.

Superstitions
Do you have any about your watches?I wear this for winning karma for UC Bearcats Football games. Watch has an outstanding 10 year winning record. I had to do a complete overhaul on it 18 months ago to keep the karma (luck) going.I'm sure this sounds stupid, but I think I cannot be alone.BTW: Even this watch's 12-0 record this year could not overcome the superior talent of Florida at the Sugar Bowl.
