The HODINKEE Collectors Summit is really taking shape. Not only will we have the likes of Aurel Bacs, Jason Singer, John Reardon, and Philippe Dufour in the house for completely candid, behind the scenes conversation with you, but we are thrilled to announce a new addition the schedule. And it's a big one. Like, to the tune of $24,000,000. Daryn Schnipper is the international chairman of the Sotheby's watch department. She is the woman responsible for selling the most expensive, most important watch on the planet, twice. Yes, Daryn is the woman who first set the record at $11 million dollars for the Henry Graves Supercomplication – one we thought would stand for all eternity – only to break it this past November by selling the very same watch for over $24 million. She'll be at the 2015 HODINKEE Collectors Summit to tell you what it was like first discovering this horological giant and then going through the process of researching it, understanding

So we sat down to watch the afternoon Phillies game against the Reds - me, Windy, and our new pet.Phanatic pillow pet that is:The broadcast team of Tom & Wheels had the Phillies GM Ruben Amaro in the booth for a chat. Looked like a nice chronograph on his wrist so I grabbed a couple screen shots:I think I know what it is. The bezel shape is the giveaway. I sent an e-mail asking about it, but until we have confirmation let's have a few more guesses. Wish I could have gotten a better photo, but if you can tune in or get a replay there's a full inning of chances for checking it out.
I have been seeing ads for these watches in car magazines for months now. Every time I see these ads I think the watches look quite nice, nothing extreme or crazy looking, just different enough to be noticed. The problem is that I have never seen/held/touched any of them. I can only find one review online. Has anyone heard anything about these? Are they a pile of crap? Are they a great bang for the buck watch? Are they in the middle some where? The watch that has recently caught my attentionThanks guys-Ben
Hi there,I am looking to by a watch as a present for somebody and was looking for an Invicta great value for the price except the customer service of course. While browsing the internet I came across a brand called glitterati. I have actually never heard of this brand but the looks are stunning in my opinion. Anybody out there with some info on those watches? Quality? There's at least a good chance that the CS is better then Invicta? Thanks!
