Audemars Piguet 67543BC.ZZ.9185BC.01 wrist watches news:
My minute repeater is currently at Patek Philippe. In a few weeks they'll tell me how much it will cost to get it working. The movement needs a complete cleaning, something I definitely want done. I can't wait to hear the chimes for the first time. Another problem is a scratch on the dial. My photos aren't great, but the scratch is fairly obvious. It starts at the "3" and crosses down to the subdial. Unlike hairline cracks the scratch is much wider. I'd like some opinions on dial repair of this type done by Patek. Since the watch is an antique, the repairs will be done in Geneva. I never intend to sell it, but I'll bequeath it to an heir. Personally, I'd like to see the dial repaired. However, I don't want to do something that could adversely affect the value of the watch. The other photo shows an engraving of "1886" on the back case. It was made in 1884, but purchased in 1886.Watch 1.jpgWatch 2.jpg
hi guys. i know, i knowi said that i wasn't going to buy any new hamiltons.BUT, i found this:this one is my restoration project. upon doing some research i found that watches using the 982 movement were the : brock, brockton, Ross, Gilman. The Ross and Gilman are with the hinged lugs though any thoughts on the identity of this watch?
I think I know what I like in watches. It is getting an amazing deal - finding something of real worth for a good price. I'm beginning to turn away from a lot of watches that are wildly overpriced. I would rather find a great vintage deal or something that is secretly of good worth. I find a great pleasure in owning this sort of thing. This is one reason I am now turning toward the Asian market place. It all reminds me of an expensive restaurant. I was recently in NYC and saw a 6 pack of Dos Equis for $17. We once ate at a nice restaurant where two cups of coffee was $14, but the food and desert were only average. But how much more fun to find a secret restaurant with a real chef where you pay a fraction of the popular hype place?I've included a photo here to make my point. While in NY I lost my nice pocket camera. I think I paid $350 to $400 for it. Very complicated with all sorts of confusing info and read-outs. Took average photos. So, I had to buy this $179 Fujifilm thi
im am glad to say that after owning numerous different brands, i am now officially an omega owner. just order the planet ocean chrono. narrowed it down to that and the breitling seawolf avenger, and in person, there is absolutelyyyyyyyyyyyyyy no comparison. omega is all class.
Wondering whether anyone has any wrist shots of the SD43 on a smaller wrist. My wrists are 7.25-7.5¡¯¡¯ but I feel like they are thinner than that would imply. I can pull off the SD4k but am a bit wary of anything larger. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
