Authenticity Advice Please
In an earlier post "Advice Please" I requested help to determine if the sale price on the watch below seemed fair. The trouble with Watch mags
Just stopped by B&N to grab some watch mags - and walked away empty handed. I flipped through InSync and HR and decided not to buy.Why?These are fan-zines that don't really address the issues that confront consumers. While I actually like InSynch, it's filled with tidbits, nifty stuff on new watches and cool photos, there's no critical analysis. Every brand - and every watch - is wonderful. There's no edge and no discussion of what brands we, as consumers, should beware of. That said, the magazine does give insight into trends, which is useful and entertaining, and is very nicely done, professional and slick. I enjoy it and I understand it fills a niche - and does it quite nicely.HR is another story. After it's recent redesign, I can't tell exactly what it wants to be. Cars, movies and some slick watch advertising, but where's the horological beef? Yikes!As a publishing insider, I understand the editors, writers and business execs at these places don't want to bite the hand that fe

New Omega to my collection
Omega Railmaster Chronometer. Fine piece. Very elegant, especially in person (pics don't do it justice). Although the face is black on first appearance it will reflect a deep royal blue on occasion, depending on the light. Here's a few pics of it solo and with the others in my little collection. Enjoy.

SD43 v Hulk V BLNR
Hi guys, just a bit of fun. I was discussing watches with two of my friends today, one of which owns a BLNR and one of which owns a Hulk. I own a SD43. We are all finance guys so we were pondering over which of these three watches would retain its value best in the future or even which one is likely to appreciate the most.I know you guys don¡¯t like to think as Rolex¡¯s from an investment standpoint but would be interesting to see other people¡¯s views/perceptions on which one may be the most coveted in the coming years/decades?Thanks
