Here are some photos of my Datejust with a sapphire case back. The photos are not so good partly because it is a bad camera but mainly because of the photographer
I know many of you will find this article useful and will enjoy the thorough explanation on the use of Forged Carbon and other materials by AP. Additionally, I added the hands-on review of the ROO 44 mm in Forged Carbon..watchcollectinglifestyle....on-cases-by-apEnjoy!!!!
...the last time someone came on with an AP issue! We seemed to go through a spell of several every week a few months ago...but now nothing! In contrast...go and look at the Patek forum and quite a lot of members are having problems with the date changing...some having problems even after the watch has been 'repaired'.
What does it sound and feel like when manual winding the crown in position 1, once you have unscrewed it from the locked position? Even from a complete stop, well before it has been overwound, I hear faint clicks with intermingled with this high-pitched buzzing noise. When I used to have a manual wind speedy pro, I could hear and feel a very regular yet smooth clicking sound, until it came to a full stop. However, on my PO it¡¯s a very faint clicking with this weird buzzing. Again, even on the first few winds from a full stop all the way up till I wind it like 50 times. Somehow I still ha ent heard that ¡°click¡± of the over-wind protective clutch. Any thoughts on why this is and what it is?? And what does your 8900 sound like??Thanks in advance!! Hi folks,My 1946 Oyster Air King was recently rebuilt and ran great! (Thanks Tommy)A few months later, the innards were loose (likely suffered some vibration in transit back to me). A local shop tightened everything and tuned it up and it was good again. Now (6 months later), the second hand (in sub-second dial) is catching on the hour hand at about 6:40. I recorded a video, but can't post a link as I have not posted enough times in the forums...I am starting to think that I am not supposed to wear this thing daily...Do you wear your vintage Rolex daily?Thoughts?
