This year at Baselworld 2016, Squale is introducing a pair of updated classic divers. Squale has a rich history of dive watches, and their vintage divers have become legendary amongst collectors. They are one of many brands who have capitalized on the popularity of their past by creating modern watches that borrow from their vintage classics.The first new watch for them this year is the Squalematic 60 ATM. This is a brand new model for them, but it is inspired by the glorious vintage Squale Masters of the past. The Squalematic will have the same familiar “von Buren” case style that they also used on their very popular 1521 models, but now in an updated 44mm diameter. Big watches are still in, and the new Squale is a nice addition to that market, without being gigantic. I haven't found a name for this model, but it uses the 2434 case, just as its Lord Elgin brother does.I got this off eBay, but never expected to receive such a nice example for what I paid. There is absolutely no wear through on the 10K gold plating and the dial is nearly flawless.The only work I had to do on this is to reset the second and minute hand which came off during shipping and I had to buff out the heavily scratched crystal. It even came with a decent Kreisler center expansion band. Here's its Lord Elgin brother:

This one is on his way home ,so I thought I'd post a few pics( still working on the quality) This is an Elgin Doctors watch . It is one of the few center seconds pocket watches made in the US . It came to me as shown and missing the driving wheel for the second hand and with several (3) broken jewels .There are no replacement parts for this watch ,so I made themAttachment 19121Image106.jpgAfter a little math and ratio calulations , I found a wheel of the right tooth count and general diameter. Got my Omega PO Chrono today.
Well I threw my back yesterday and have been in excruciating pain, I crawled my way to the doctors today, took them four hours to pump me with enough drugs to unclench my jaw off the doctors arm. At first I thought I was hallucinating from all the pain killers but it was in fact the fed ex man with a package all the way from the good old US of A when i got back home. My first watch bought from a non AD, and EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. Watchmaxx run a great operation. Intact serials, great packaging, good prices, very fast delivery. Three days half way across the world, three year warranty, the works.
