Rolex service through Torneau
I recently brought my Explorer II into Torneau to send it out for a full service with Rolex. I assumed and was told that the watch would be serviced by Rolex themselves, and that it would take about 8 weeks. To make a long story short, I got the watch back in about three weeks and was very unhappy to find out that Rolex did not do the service, it was done by Torneau, and that the watch looks horrible because they polished the bezel and made it look fake, because the bezel should look brushed!!!! Even the numbers on the bezel appear worn down from the extensive polishing!! I refused to pay for the service and demanded Torneau to send it to Rolex for re-servicing and to make it look like it is supposed to. I am now afraid of what was done to the inside of my watch and how they will fix it. I am assuming I will need a new bezel now. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, and should I contact Rolex directly to let them know this has happened? thanks Daniel

IWC Doppel Double Chrono
Hi All,I am new to the forum and wanted to find what exactly which model is the Doppel Double Chrono. I prefer the older model sometime in Year 2000 which has the smooth dial. The newer models have the split dials which i am not too keen on. Just a preference i guess. I remember seeing it coming with a black strap. Does it come with a plain casing at the back or is it a see-thru movement back? Anyone got the model number or photos which i can reference to? Most appreciated. Cheers, Peter

Patek Philippe authorized dealer visit
Greetings TRF,I just thought I would share with you my experience at the only Patek Philippe authorized dealer in the province of Quebec. I went there yesterday with my girlfriend, a hot and sunny day if I may describe it.Now before I get into details and start to show pictures, I would like to personally dedicate this thread to Dan (dddrees). Dan, you have been a wonderful asset to this section of TRF and I truly enjoy your helpful, funny and interesting threads! Please do take those mediocre pictures and this quick review as a gift for all the things you've done around here (without pushing it, of course, but I do think you are a great helper in this sub forum). Now let's start the review, shall we? We start our little visit by parking a few streets from the AD (parking is rarer than a Patek Tourbillon in Montreal...) and walking towards the place.
