Cartier C28354 wrist watches news:
Sponsored PostIn the last five years, Madison Avenue has become the epicenter for haute horlogerie and the largest fine timepiece marketplace in North America. This unprecedented congregation of watch brands establishing flagship boutiques motivated the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District to create the first Madison Avenue Watch Week. The concept for the Madison Avenue Watch Week was simple; to display the newest Swiss watch innovations with in-store events for the New York audience. Madison Avenue Watch Week will be celebrating its 5th Anniversary from April 20 to 25, 2015.Thanks to the hospitality and creativity of the participating brands, over the years, thousands of watch collectors and enthusiasts have had the amazing experiences of seeing master watchmakers at work or demonstrating the inner mechanics and technology of superlative timepieces - historic and brand new. Madison Avenue Watch Week has featured talks by watch connoisseurs on the art of collecting; panels with
I picked up a Meridian just like the one you posted about a year or so ago with the 724 movement. I got it for $30, but is was described as in great shape/movement not working. The crystal just needs some polishing, the case and dial are great, but as I said, the movement doesn't workyou can't wind nor move the hands. Also, I noticed that the dial, which fits in the fixed bezel isn't flush as in your pictures.Screen Shot 2013-12-17 at 10.03.49 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2013-12-17 at 10.03.59 PM.jpgSo I have a couple of questions for you.1) I see in your photos, that there is a gasket. Is that what holds the movement and dial in place, allowing to remain flush with the bezel? If that is the case, where would you get such a gasket?2). There is a working movement with the same exact dial in mint condition available. How easy is it and how do you pop off the dial stem to let the movement fall out. Then of course, how do you reinsert the stem?If I could just exchange the movement and dial, that
Thank goodness My first nice watch is back from service...Yes, it took a full 3 months. And for $500 bucks she appears to be running great but for that cost $$$ you would think that they may buff it up a bit. For example you can see a small scratch on the bezel at 7 o'clock It's still there...At the end of the day, I'm just glad I have my watch back and running well. It's been on my wrist since it arrived Saturday.
Does anyone have the link to the old WTF? Trying to search something there that I know was posted; but, I am on a different system, and my favorites are not on this server I am currently using. Thanks.
By no quick date set function I mean that you need to turn the hour hand 24 hours for the date to change... I have this on my 233 and 305. Can we move the hour hand backwards to get to the date sooner or could this damage the movement or date function? I¡¯ve always just gone forward but sometimes that¡¯s a PITA when you have to go through 20+ dates.
