Bittersweet gift.
A friend of mine¡¯s uncle passed away recently and left her, as she put it, ¡°a crap load of watches.¡± She knows I like watches and said I could have my pick. I didn¡¯t want to sound greedy and said if she wasn¡¯t going to find use for them, I would take one. I asked if she knew what kind of watches they were and she said, one is a Rolex. I told her she could sell it and she said she would rather I had it. Here is a wrist shot. I¡¯ve love the look, but I have that ¡°it¡¯s too good to be true¡± feeling. I¡¯ve never owned a Rolex before. How can I tell if this is a genuine Rolex and not a fake? I can¡¯t get to an AD until this weekend. What should I look for myself until then? Thanks for any info. Let's hear your horror stories!I'm talking about physical horrors, nothing customer service related.Mine has got to be when I came home from work one day to find that my dog Buddy, a jack-chi, had reached into my watchbox (which lives on my nightstand) and grabbed my Khaki Chrono, pulled it on to my bed, and chewed completely through the strap. Imagine my "OH SH*T" face the moment I walked into my room and saw pieces of strap everywhere, I had figured he had dragged the watch all over the house prior to this, but luckily it turned out he only destroyed the strap!Let's hear yours!

Breitling B2 Gaining Time?
Hi all...new to the forum though been lurking for quite some time. Wondering if any Breitling owners have experienced consistent issues with their watch keeping accurate time?Bought my husband a B2 as an engagement present in 2006 from an AD here in MD. Starting about 8 months ago, it started gaining 10 seconds a day on a regular basis. Before this issue started, it always kept incredibly accurate time...and its been back in and out of the Breitling hospital 4 times since then...it just got back from the fourth visit to Breitling and we're picking it up this weekendmon issue? Any potential root causes?He wears the B2 all the time, but is really careful with it. And weird that this just started happening a few months ago.Thanks in advance....

I just purchased a brand new Radiomir 1940 45mm PAM 572 with the newer Automatic mechanical movement, P.4000 calibre, executed entirely by Panerai, 13� lignes, 3.95 mm thick, 31 jewels, Glucydur� balance, 28,800 alternations/hour. KIF Parechoc� anti-shock device. Power reserve 3 days, two barrels. 203 components.The movement features the Off - centered oscillating weight micro- rotor design which makes the movement much slimmer.This design is similar to the distinctive micro-rotors inside many of the Patek Philippe automatic movementsI synced the watch, which also has the seconds hacking feature, with NIST Standard Government Time over 10 days ago. I just re-checked the watch and am very happy to report that is is within less than 1 second of the current SYNC time !!!!I wear the watch every day and rest it in the crown up position at night. I have not wound the watch since I re-set the time to daylight savings time on November 1st. I think that is pretty good perfo
