To repair - if so suggestions as to what dealer will be appreciated as will any guess on cost.To sell in present condition ?? Any thoughts on price ?To repair and then sell - cost of repair guess and sales price. In 1962 I was in Hong Kong - courtesy of the US Navy (Submarine Service) and bought this Omega through the Navy Exchange.Dial as printed from top down: Omega, Automatic, Seamaster and has 'date' window. Back of watch: Seamaster logo and seahorse. Additionally I had my initials and my last name engraved. Also had "1962" engraed.......the year I bought the watch.General condition: I had worn the watch for about twenty years but broke the crystal and that caused me to put the watch away. (Didn't know the watch would be put away for thirty plus years !!) Case looks fine and even the face looks decent though cleaning/replacing is probably in order after 51 years. Watch band is a replacement. The watch was running when put away but no longer runs.Any thoughts/advice will b
Hello everyone,Let me first introduce myself, my name is Brent AKA Seamaster, and I joined WTF last year. I have visited the Japanese & Asian Watch Forum a number of times, especially within the last couple of weeks, looking for threads pertaining to the Orange/Black monster.I was thinking of purchasing one of these for daily wear plus to compliment my weekend activities, which include offshore fishing, snorkeling and grilling,(Hoping to get back into some hiking) just to name a few.A couple of nights ago, I remembered that Casio came out with the Pathfinder PAW1500T-7V (Pic taken from Casio USA)I'm hoping that persons on this forum either have or know about this watch, as I'd like to get any feedback as to the quality, durability and accuracy of this model Pathfinder, as I'm thinking that this may be a better fit for my intended use. Thanks for your feedback.
Hi!Been lurking for a few weeks while my dads old watch went for repair. It's been fixed and cleaned and is running beautifully!Question is, can any of you Longines experts help me identify it?It's from 1948(?) S/N 7535098. 12.68N movement.(17 jewels). 9 carat Gold. Pictures attached should help. Thing is, I have failed to find any other Longines watch with this face and hands. Sure, I've seen the red XII before, but not like this?I will be putting it on the market once I know more about it.Thanks in advance for any advice given!Jimmy Hamilton.
Hi PP forum,I have been looking a while at PPs. I've always loved the Calatrava, but I'm still in my mid/late 20s and the most formal I ever dress is chinos & a dress shirt, never a suit, so I think the model would not really suit me that well. I'm also quite big (used to do a lot of weight lifting when I was younger) so I need something which won't look dainty of my wrist/arm.I live a couple of hours from London where all the PP dealers are, so I need to have a few models lined up before I go there so I can make sure they have stock of everything I want to try.I currently own:- YG Rolex GMTIIC- Navy AP Royal Oak Offshore- Steel & WG DateJust IIAs such I am looking for something a bit more dressy & smart, a leather strap would be nice. But still something that is a little chunkier and will suit a casual dressing younger guy going out to a nice dinner, etc.It won't be my daily, any gold or platinum is fine, I can't go for anything over ¡ê30k ($50k) brand new list price. Any o
Ever since I was a child, I have always been infatuated with watches. My mother and father are both collectors of sorts and it has definitely rubbed off on me. The sickness only has gotten worse since I purchased my first Rolex in 2005 and hasn't gotten any better since joining TRF last summer I have gone through many watches and brands since then. Including Audemars Piguet, IWC, Omega, Tudor, Panerai, etc...but for as long as I can remember I have always wanted a Patek. It has been a long, long, expensive journey full of mistakes and lots of lessons learned...Special thanks to Mr. David Farkas, aka PerpetualMan88 for making this possible. David and I go back while, this being our fourth transaction together and I can't say enough good things about our interactions. He has always taken the time to answer my stupid questions, texts, and concerns. He and I have been discussing a Patek for me for ages and he reached out when he found the perfect one. We talked about it and after some thou
