This is a Illinois Hawthorne. If one ever wondered what a TRUE tank watch is, then examine one of these up-close sometime. It actually resembles an Army Tank from the side. My Hawthorne has a original snowflake/sparkle dial and a 17 jewel movement. This case was originally advertised as a Arlington if it had a 15 jewel movement.

My First Vintage Piece
Hello,Well, after a long flight home - really long flight home - I was presented with 2 notes from the post office. Dropped the kids off at school and retrieved my packages. Thought the SD43 was the one but...
it��s a little too large and heavy. Purchased BNIB, I��ve only worn it twice. Thought I��d love the size and all, but it��s larger than I thought it would be and the added weight is noticeable. Am I crazy or what? I really think a SubC date is the right one for me. I��ve tried one on before and I really think that would be a better fit. What do you guys think?
