- I like the watch, but what makes it appear cheapened is that it has no name on the watch. I find that strange.I'ts not as pretty as Adrienne says no mater how matter how many crystals she says that it has.I'm going to send it back.

Hi guysI popped into this excellent museum last weekend on the route to my parents in Lausanne. Besancon is in Franche Comte in the east of France, just next to Switzerland. The museum has a large number of historical pieces including a magnificent Leroy pocket watch from 1900. It is claimed to be the most complex watch of its kind for the era...with no less than 24 complications. The watch took 7 years to make. Leroy was a Parisian watchmaker with workshops in Besancon. It was ordered by a Portuguese client, Monteiro de Cavalho. There was a huge number of items on show. I think that these shows are invaluable to collectors as there are pieces of information you do not find anywhere else. Some of the examples of early pocket watches I have already seen in my searches of watches for sale, but the sellers do not realise what they have - luckily you could take photos here without flash :)One other observation was how the more things change the more they stay the same. Just curious what the ratio of blue vs green lumes on the hour/minute hands exists with the Omega CK2998s. Let's find out. Vote in the poll above if you own one.
here is a question that is nagging me:::)))) a month ago i committed for a regulator 5235G (within a downpayment that is actually refundable if i withdraw from the deal). however, very recently i got offered a 5711R - which i have been chasing for a while - for an excellent price, to which i have immediately agreed. the 5711R is actually a no-brainer for me - some lust for gold probably:::))). so here are my options, since for reasons of internal family hygiene in cannot get two watches in a month: sell my 5712R (i already have a very good offer, about what i paid for it) and get the 5235G or just cancel the deal on the regulator. an argument for the former is that the 5712R will see little wrist time only since the 5711R will take over the nautilus part, an argument for the latter is that the 5712R is actually an appreciating asset and after all 'easier' to wear than the full gold 5711R.i also have currently a 5227R and a 5320G incoming next year.help::::)))) decisons decisions.....fi
Went to check out the new DJ41. They had both oyster and jubilee bracelet. Really hoping they offer the jubilee in steel next year with a white Roman dial.
