Cartier Cartier 37645 wrist watches news:
I inherited this Junghans from my grandfather, along with some other watches. It's been sitting in a box for a while so I thought I'd pull it out and get some more info on it.I'm not sure of the date of this watch, it looked to be goldfilled, but bezel still had some gold on it. I believe he got this in Germany, he was a US navy Sailor from 1943-1980's. He traveled all over the world and picked up a collection of junk, sometimes picking up watches and stuff. It doesn't run anymore, and honestly I think it's in pitiful condition for a watch of mine.So my question is: Is it worth restoring? Or is it destine to become a parts watch?Oh, and how do I open it?
An Appreciation of Time and Friends Met Here.Based on the Christmas story and rhyme ¡°Twas the night before Christmas¡±Twas the night before Christmas; last year I recallNo sounds of a wrist watch were ticking at all.It had been many years since I've had a new watch. No new Timex, no Rolex, not even a Swatch. My wife and I childless, having had only pets.Nearly 30 years together; still as close as it gets.My wife had her Timex Triathlon to wear.It was all she had wanted for her Christmas birthday last year. Then this year, on these forums, I had made some new friends,As my love for all watches was renewed once again.I¡¯d seen other watch forums but nothing else had compared; To the wonderful pictures and the things that I¡¯ve shared.I have talked of things owned and the Moon Phase I¡¯d craved;Yet still couldn¡¯t afford one no matter how hard I¡¯d saved. Then one day, while WTF browsing, a new message did appear,Twas a PM from someone I had met while on here.A friend read of my plights, strong des
One of the joys of a job that involves travel, even just locally, is the opportunity to check pawn shops. Until recently, when I found this forum, I only looked for tuning fork Accutrons and I have found some bargains. This forum has broadened my world but I've still got a lot to learn. Today I found a Mont Blanc that could be bought for $75, probably less. There's not a lot of info about Mont Blanc but fakes are advertised. How would I know if it is a fake? Any help will be appreciated.
After a wait of nearly six months I am happy to report that I am the new owner of a G-P Olimpico ca, 1976.It's in excellent condition having just undergone a complete servicing at G-P SA. La Chaux-De-Fonds.It measures 39mm by 43mm and is 14mm from crystal to case. The dial is 32mm across. The sub-dials include a small seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30 minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12 hour register at 6 o'clock. The dial includes a Tachymetre/Pulsiometer, and the bezel is a non-rotating dive timer. The pristine crystal is domed plexi, and the strap is 18mm wide and includes a G-P signed buckle. The movement on the watch is an Excelsior Park 40 calibre.I am glad to report that this lovely timepiece was definitely worth the wait.
Guys, need some help to find a good rubber strap for my Pam. Bought a couple and it ended up being too hard and doesn't flex much and it ended up gripping the two sides of my wrist too much. Anyone out there can point me to the right direction?
