- I received this watch in pink and I couldn't be happier. I saw this watch on someone in the retail industry 2 years ago and I have wanted it since then. Thanks to the site and flex pay, I can now afford it. In addition, getting it at the event price was a double blessing. The watch is just beautiful and everything I thought it would be.

- Although it has a sophisticated design and works wonderfully w/dressier styles and occassions, its design is also so simple that it works seamlessly w/a t-shirt and jeans, too.

F.P.Journe presents the second chapter of the Vagabondage Limited Series, ”°Vagabondage II”±, which will be produced in a limited series of 69 pieces in platinum and 68 pieces in 18K red gold, available from all authorized F.P.Journe points of sale. This piece is the next in line in one of the more interesting lineages in modern watchmaking. In 2004, for the 30th Anniversary of Antiquorum, F.P. Journe created three unique pieces in rose, white and yellow gold, to be sold at a Geneva charity auction in favour of the ICM, the Research Institute for Brain and Spinal Cord Diseases in Paris. These were F.P.Journe creations, but with an unusual shape. For the first time, the Geneva Manufacture created a watch with a flat Tortue-shaped case and a dial without the F.P.Journe signature. The pieces sold for three times their value.Following that charity auction, F.P. Journe produced a limited series of 69 pieces in platinum with an 18K rose gold movement, known as Vagabondage I. Now you might be tempted to interpret my thinking of "moods" as "Which watch do I feel like wearing today?"And while that's often a scenario that plays out with forum members, I'm sure, I'm taking a different view.I've noticed lately some changes in my buying habits. Styles of watches I thought would always be my go-to styles are waning in desire for me. I'm discovering not only new styles, but my past trepidation around some indie brands (indie brands in general, that is to say, no brands specifically) has all but vanished. In fact, I've swung so far as to have a desire to NOT buy known brands these daysOnce in my young life, I felt digital watches were the pinnacle. Why would anyone NOT have a digital watch?! Themed digitals (Star Wars), watches with games and with calculators occupied my top watch spots for years. Round about the time Oakley Frogskins (sunglasses ;) ) hit my radar, so did Tag Heuer. And so did carsto which I drifted and took every cent I could muster along fo
I recently purchased (as in last week) a Speedmaster 3513.50 from a grey market dealer. I took the watch to an AD and he commented that the color of the luminous material on the hands appeared dark. I got on ebay and looked at some of the auctions and found the same model watch where the hands appeared darker. After looking athe pictures of the auction I noticed that my watch has the EXACT same serial number as the one in the auction. I take it that these are both high end fakes?
Is anyone aware of any aftermarket testing on the GMT IIc maxi-case. I know it is only officially rated to 100m, but with the trip lock crown I am guessing it is much better. Has anyone tested this in a chamber to see how low it will go?
Hey all! Calling in all Dallas TRFer's to advise me on a replacement bezel insert for my 16610. Accidentally knocked it earlier today and it must've popped off as I noticed my little guy was looking very naked once I got home. I'll be heading out of town on Tuesday and was hoping to just swing by a local AD or RSC Dallas? to see if anyone would be willing to replace the bezel insert only within the day. I've seen several threads a few years back where members got bezel insert replacements for about $75 at RSC Dallas in about 45 minutes but just wanted to see if anyone had a more recent experience with this or if there's another AD that they would recommend.Thank you!
