Omega 422.18.35.50.05.002 wrist watches news:
Greetings everyone! The great folk behind Guido Mondani's website collectingwatches let me know that their website showcasing they're fine publications has been updated! In addition to displaying they're library of reference books on topics relating to Rolex Patek, and Omega (among others) the site also has some useful and entertaining information:-Check out this link showing Rolex in the movies and on TV: collectingwatches/en/rolex_tv.php-Here's a nice concise summary of major milestones in the last 100 years of Rolex histroy: collectingwatches/en/storia.phpI've done reviews of several of Mondani's books which can be found on THE ROLEX REFERENCE PAGE:rolexreferencepage/book_reviews/
Hello everyone,I would like to present you with a watch (Panerai 004) that was in an extremely bad shape due to the everyday wear its owner had put it through over the years. Personally I dont know a true Panerai fan who hasn't been secretly dreaming to put their hands on 201, 004, 009, 205, 218, and 004 in a fairly good shape. Well this could be extremely dificult the least to say and this particular 004 is kind of supporting my words. Therefore, i engaged into getting this baby a well deserved spa treatment. The watch was first completely disassembled; the old coating stripped off; all dents and inconsistencies were removed (it does sound easy but it is a procedure that takes over 2 days); all parts were then DLC coated with the Panerai signature pencil lead color. The caseback was also refinished by reapplying the original satin finish on it. The movement undertook a complete overhauling” it was completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled, assembled, and then regulated.Enough of talking”
Spring bars (sometimes called pins, spring pins, etc.) are what attach a band/bracelet to the watch case. Fitting the correct size spring bars to a watch is important. Here's an example:This Gruen had a spring bar installed that was exactly the width of the lugs, leaving no room to compress for removal. The bracelet had to be pryed open and the spring bar cut in half to be removed.
Does anyone know what watch the TV evangelist Creflo Dollar wears? It looks like a Chronomat just not sure but its stunning never seen anything like it. Im wrapping my brain around trying to figure it out. It may not even be a Breitling.
Hello all,Can anyone tell me the case height for these two pieces? I would love a 422, but feel that the 47mm case would look too big on me - unless the case is not too tall! Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, buy oh well. The 510 is also a strong contender, with similar looks at 44mm. The 8 day pr is also very sweet. Info on this case height would be much appreciated as well. Many thanks!
