Invicta 17881 wrist watches news:
I am on a list to get a 5960 (hopefully soon) and was thinking about this watch over the weekend. My question is thishow does a 5960 fit into a collection from a "collectors" point of view? Meaning, do you see this being an important Patek to have in one's collection? I am fairly new at building a collection of Patek's, and want to buy the right pieces, but only if they are one's I'd also like to wear, and the 5960 surely fits the bill for me. As for "why" I am building a collection of Patek'sto be 100% honest, because I enjoy it. If it goes up in value, great. If not, oh well. The fun of having a great collection is enough for me, however I truly do want to build a great collection, that is ultimately appreciated by other collectors of Patek's who enjoy this brand as much as I do. So anyway, how does the 5960 fit into a modern collection of Patek's in your opinion? Thanks, Calfee
Hi WTFers, I have stalked internet sites, bought beginners' tools, and acquired a spread of dollar watches over the last few weeks. Now I begin my new hobby - learning how they work & trying to 'service' them. The following is my documentation and photos from the first attempt - a cheap, non-running Progress Dollar Watch. This is a lengthy post....so Moderators, if this post is too long, too picture-happy, or unsuitable for these forums please edit or tell me as you see fit!1. I created a basic information template so that I could organize the information on each watch as well as what the heck I was doing to service it. For all of my watches I now just paste in the boiler and fill in the data.WATCH TYPE: PROGRESS USA Pocket “Dollar Watch”Year: (?) Size: 6 (?) What's better than an "Incoming!" thread? A DUAL "Incoming!" thread. This came surprisingly quick from a dealer in the Great White North:I love box & papers with a NOS vintage watch! And there's another prize - a Grand Prize, actually:And of course, the obligatory wrist shots after making a microadjustment of the clasp:
I been a lurker for some time now, I love looking at watches and reading about their history. I only own 3 watches Tissot,Hamilton and Christopher ward. My question is what do you think about designer watches like Kenneth Cole,Armani, ect. Are they all made in china??Gladiator aka Adam I learn alot about watches by reading all your posts, I would love to meet you one day and ask for your autographand then tell you that i'm your son.
Any help on which model Panerai?
