Working for Watches?
A few of you know that I have a love for fixing old wind up clocks and giving them new life. The movements are much easier to see! The word is out that I will fix a clock that people cannot afford to fix...I just did one clock for a friends Mom...She was so happy....The clock was a wedding present and it stopped running the week her husband died. I returned it to her running and she literally cried. We proceeded to talk about clocks and watches and I mentioned Hamilton (of course). She ran into another room and came out with a Hamilton (1970's?)watch. She said she gave it to her husband but he hardly wore it because it was too large! She wanted me to have it because she had kept his favorite watch! My friend "twisted my arm" and verified his Dad never wore it! Question on a little issue
I bought my Seamaster 222080 from a trusted fellow TRF member. Watch is great and running in excellent condition -1 +1 on a daily basis. He said it was previously serviced at an Omega AD abot 5-6 months ago by the previous owner. Which is great considering I dont have to service it in a few years. However, my issue is that this AD did a sloppy job in the cleaning. On the inside of the saphirre crsyrtal you can see cloth streaks (you know as if you cleaned it with a dirty cloth) It is only noticeable when the light hits it at a certain angle though. It is on the whole crystal, man that gets to me!!! What can I do to get this fixed? Do I call Omega? This irritates me and again, it is NOT the TRF members fault but that AD that did this sloppy job!

Ordering from an AD - DJ36
My fianc¨¦ is quite envious of my new DJ41, and in order for me to justify a bluesy at any point in the next year or two I believe I¡¯ll have to get her a nice gift as well. Can also use all these upcoming life events as great justification. ;-)She¡¯s poked around on the Rolex website and is quite interested in the 116234. DJ36 with jubilee bracelet, white mother of pearl face w/bling inside.I feel like this won¡¯t be a common model to stumble across at an AD. How long would I need to expect to wait once ordered? Trying to build myself a plan around the timing...and how I plan to pay for all this.
