I am celebrating month three with my Ball Aviator GMT. I am a fan of pilot style watches and also was looking for something with a light dial. The first Aviator at 46mm, was just a tad too big, so when the GMT came out at 44mm, I was excited. This soon became my third Ball Watch, fifth if you count my Vintage Trainmaster and Liz’ Trainmaster Sixty Seconds Model. Below is my review of the Ball Engineer Master II Aviator GMTCase/Crown: At 44mm, the case is substantial without being overpowering on my 6.5 inch wrist. Like all Ball watches, the fit and finish are perfect! The screw in crown is operates very smoothly, making it a pleasure to operateThe caseback is solid, and features a classic Ball scene on the back (the non GMT Aviator features a different case back with a Wright Brothers Motif-I believe later GMT’s are also being shipped with this caseback.)The dial is a beautiful cream color, which is just stunning when the sunlight hits it and equally stunning at night. How many watches have you bought in person vs on-line? For me, it is 3 in person and 13 on-line.
What have people's experiences been with the 40 hours of PR from the 15202? Specifically, from people who are coming from the standard Rolex 40 hour. Having two watches in my rotation now, 45 (Speedy) and 48 (BLNR), it was an adjustment going to those after having a daily wearer of the Omega PO 8500, which had 60. I am worried that when looking at the 15202 that, it will another adjustment going to 40. Essentially this would be my weekend watch, a spot currently occupied by the BLNR, so it's not a huge issue, but just curious. I am guessing the wear for a day, leave off for a day, and then wear again would involve some resetting and winding?
Do they have a decent stock? I'm going to LA in a couple weeks and I want to see some APs in the metal.
