B.R.M V12-44-BN-CA-AR The Related Reviews:
- I've had this watch since July 2006, and have cherished it since. However, just one thing to beware of, this watch cannot be retrofitted with a metal wrist strap. Ironically it's sibling that comes with the metal (titanium) strap has a different case back i.e. it has deeper scalloping to allow the metal strap to connect to the watch. The leather band watch does not have this deeper scalloping and so will not allow attachment of a metal strap. In conclusion if you think you will one day switch from one strap material to the next, then it may pay to get the metal strap variant, allowing retrofitting of a leather strap at a later date.

B.R.M V12-44-BN-CA-AR wrist watches news:
When are skulls on a watch the less controversial choice? When skulls replace bullets of course. As a limited edition (of perhaps only one), Yvan Arpa's Artya brand based out of Geneva has created a special piece for Halloween 2013 of his Son of a Gun watch collection with skulls on the dial - as well as on the bracelet. This is perhaps the first watch I have seen with a dedicated bracelet made of skulls. It also may be the first bracelet from the Artya brand. Whether you are into wearing skulls or not, this is a watch worth knowing about if you want to be a well-rounded watch collector. What is it about mortality that makes us like to consider its end? We love horror movies, zombies, morbid fashion accessories, and other allusions to death. Few people actually wish to die, yet we love to play with the notion of death in an almost quasi-rebellious way that seems to suggest, "I've conquered death by embracing the notion of it while I am healthy." Or perhaps wearing skulls is more barbari
I've just got to pull the trigger and get it done. I hope it isn't anything $erious. I've been planning on getting it serviced. It's been 13 years. Keeps time +/-0 a day for days on end. BUT - I've noticed noise when I move the watch. It's the rotor. There's no doubt, but it is getting noisy.I pulled the case off the bracelet and gave it a shake. It sounds like there are ball bearings spinning around in there. rolling not loose and rattling like spray paint, but yikes it is VERY audible.Dirty dirty dirty. I'm calling RSC Dallas on Monday AM and getting the show on the road. I'll miss the wrinkles and warts, but I'm going to have them do the polish and replace the bezel.
This Hamilton Spur sold on the Swamp today for just over $2,000 (I didn't bid on it):Seller Swamp photoI don't see many sales of the Spur. So I'm not that familiar with historic prices. But it seemed a little low to me. I always thought most original Spurs sold in the $2,500-5,000 range?Mark S.
Was looking at a Seiko diver and tripped over this. For $85 + postage I simply couldn't go past it. Love the lume. Don't know what movement it has - don't care really; this could be my new beater.Anybody have one? Any comments on it if you do?Vendor's pix:stales
Heading there in April and know they have a large presence in the area. Never been and curious if they may have any more inventory there than we do here in the US or if they can source hard to get pieces any easier if given some notice? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
