Baume et Mercier 10221 wrist watches news:
My wife wanted top-soil for her flower pots today but since I was too lazy to go to Home Depot in this heat I came up with this masterplan.I picked up the phone and ordered top-soil for delivery. The guy asked if I wanted 1, 2 or 3 and since my wife only wanted 1 bag I of course said 1..What I didn't know was that he meant truckloads at 30 Yards each..Well, now she has to hurry up and put it in her pots so I can take the boat out....
Uncle Sam is all too happy to help those of us with the accuranal virus. ;o)time.gov/widget.html (temporarily offline due to government shutdown)Just adjust your watch to the time on the screen, and you're done. A hacking mechanism helps, but isn't really needed.
I just received my Hamilton Jazzmaster Day/Date, and wound it about 20 turns and it didn't start. The rotor moves a bit when winding, so it's apparently doing something. I gave it the smallest shake and it started running.Thoughts? I would have expected it to start running from the manual winding, but if it's been sitting unused for a while would this be normal?
Hi Rik,if you have to choose one movement & design that in your opinion and your experience the easiest & the most comfortable to do the routine service of a mechanical watch ( ok, please not into another debate of necessary or not necessary to do the routine service) , then what wd be it ? and why ? many thanksPete J
from the L.A. County District Attorney's office website:Three teenage boys defrauded would-be Rolex wristwatch buyers out of more than $20,000 in an Internet scam. The boys lied about their ages and used stolen credit card account numbers to set up online auctions of the wristwatches. Photos of merchandise scanned from a Rolex catalog were used to market the nonexistent watches on the online auction sites. The boys demanded that all payments be made in cashiers¡¯ checks so that no "stop payments" could be made. Three victims sent cashiers checks totaling $22,500 before realizing they had been duped. The boys pleaded guilty and were ordered to repay the money they had stolen.
