Renovated Omega Museum in Biel Reopens
The Omega Museum in Biel reopened on May 3, following several months of renovation. Originally opened in January, 1984, the museum is the oldest dedicated to a single watch brand. Located just opposite Omega¡¯s headquarters in Biel, it features items representing the brand¡¯s entire history, from Louis Brandt’s 160-year-old watchmaker¡¯s bench to the Olympics, moon landings, James Bond, and beyond. Omega president Stephen Urquhart likened the period of renovation to an archaeological dig. ¡°Not only did we renovate the whole museum but we also restored many of the period features of this listed building. The project gave us a chance to review our entire collection. Some of the objects displayed are being presented to the public for the first time, including things which we didn¡¯t even know were hidden in the archives.¡±Displays vividly recreate Omega’s history, presenting the brand¡¯s most important stories. Bomb Proof Spring Bars Needed
Today for the third time in about 5 months I hade a spring bar spring outthankfully the watch caught on my sweater and did not drop. I have 20mm width bands and 20mm spring bars and wonder if someone makes spring bars that are a little more bomb proof than the typical spring bar sold with watches, watchbands, etc. If such things exist, where can I, and others, find these a little more bomb proof spring bars? Would a 21mm springbar (if such exist) be betterthe logic being there is 1mm more "insurance".Thanks.

I have returned to Omega...
After owning a 45.5 Orange PO for over a year as my daily wearer, I sold it this past spring to help fund my first Rolex. Here it is on the rubber strap, but I had it typically on the S/S bracelet:And, I had to own one again. I loved the feel of that watch, on my 8.5 wrist.Well, now I do own one again, but this time a black bezel 45.5 with orange numbers:GLAD TO BE BACK!!!
