Pocket watch-to-wristie conversion
Just spied this interesting Hamilton Railroad Pocket watch on the swamp that has been re-cased and converted to a wristwatch:It's swamp item {deleted by mod}It has a nice 992B 21 jewel movement. Sweet.I've seen some of these conversions before from this seller and didn't care for them. But this one I like. At 49mm, it's a little on the large side for my small wrists. But I think it would wear like a traditional pilot watch, which tend to be about this size.And unlike some of his other pocketwatch-to-wristwatch conversions, this one is a straight up auction and doesn't have a ridiculus BIN price.Roger - If you're looking for a Christmas present for me, this one would be fine. I have seen all these threads where people complain about availability, pricing etc. I love watches, but right now I am a one watch person. I have a sub c and bought it two years ago. I am already seeing it go for 15% more than what I bought it at from a trusted seller.I will not be in the market for a 2nd watch and personally I love the Rolex strategy. The only thing I own that has gone up in value is my house and maybe some investments. I hope Rolex keeps this up and value just rises. I did buy this to give to my son in about 20 years. I honestly would not be mad if he was not into watches but we could sell it and make a great profit. I also would not mind if he did like watches and I gave it to him, but over time money was worth more and he could sell and make a great profit. Anyone else feel this way?

Here we go again.... ive got a AP Forged Carbon 44mm and just cant get attached to it. Maybe ive got buyers remorse based on a rubber/plastic/ceramic watch for alot of $$$$ and cant personally see the justification in it too.Its not my first AP and i dont dislike it but its just not doing it for me. I tried to do a deal on a RG 44mm but we just couldnt come to an agreement that i could say was a worthwhile deal.....I am also paranoid about the reliability after the issues i had with my AP SafariSo ive been looking around and not for anything in particular and this was offered to me last night.... A solid gold YMII full set 116688I will have to tip in a bit to do the deal(not enough to phase me)Now i know the YMII is not the most popular model on the forums here but i do like them (i had a TT YMII previously) and i miss having a PM piece in my ownership (ive had a gold sub/yachtmaster 1 and a DD previously)whats your thoughts on this as a trade?again i figure this will be a mixed bag of
