Partially rescinding my endorsement of Swiss Service Center
In mid-January, I sent my SMP 2552.80 to Swiss Service in Illinois, the closest Omega-authorized service center. I bought it in May, 2000, and never had it serviced before. It was losing ~28 sec/day. They sent a quote a few days later, and I approved all the work.This was my first Swiss watch, and while I recently contemplated selling it, I know it should be a keeper, after thinking about all it went through with me for the past nearly 8 years.The other day, I noticed that my account was debited for the Omega service. Today, I called them and they said it was shipped out and gave me tracking. FedEx just showed up! Notice all the packaging - even my cats were curious! It was wrapped in tissue paper, then a small manila envelope, then a FedEx bubble wrap envelope, then a small FedEx box, then a medium FedEx box.
