Tag Heuer WAR5012.BA0723 wrist watches news:
Hamilton’s new 44mm X-Mach lets you measure an aircraft’s speed relative to that of sound – Hamilton calls this the “Machmeter” feature. To perform this feat however, you need to be sitting in the cockpit. Pilots set the pressure altitude (PA) and calibrated air speed (CAS) measured by the aircraft’s instruments by turning the right crown of the watch to reveal the Mach number in ISA (International Standard Atmosphere) conditions on the bezel. Consistent with its mission, the X-Mach is designed to capture the look of aircraft instruments. Both variations (stainless steel with or without black PVD) have a smooth black dial with silver-colored indices and matching counter frames. The case features carbon fiber inserts and white or black numerical markings around the bezel. The case back offers a display window in the approximate shape of a Star Trek insignia, allowing you to catch a glimpse of the ETA 7750 automatic movement inside. The dial has a cut-
A couple more Longines that made it back from the watchmaker. The first is a late 60's or perhaps early 70's Admiral. Per the inscription on the back this was a 25 year service award dated 1971 for an employee of Merek & Company, Inc. When I picked this up the crown was missing (torn off) and the crown tube was damaged. It came with the box and papers and looked like it was worn only a few times before it was damaged, then put away until I bought it. It has a Kreisler Steelflex bracelet which looks original to the watch. It is uncanny that the bracelet fits me perfectly, so it is staying on the watch. This one has a caliber 505 movement, which was originally produced by the Record Watch Company. Longines acquired Record in 1961 and began using their "5XX" movements shortly thereafter. For Longines collectors the "5XX" movements are not as desirable as Longines in house designs. However the Record movements are well made and my bet is that there are more "still on the road" than Vol
Hi all, just wondering if anyone can give me an average price (new) for a Seiko SKX779K. Not where the best deal is, just what would be a reasonable price to pay. Please PM me. I've tried 3 of the WTF sponsor's and come up blank. I would have thought this was a really common model. Price in USD is fine, I'll convert it.Cheers.
DOXA Dirk PittThe original Professional - as worn by adventurer extraordinaire Dirk Pitt!Price: About $2000You may never walk in Dirk's shoes, but now you can wear his watch. The DOXA 750T Professional Dirk Pitt is everything that was great about the original Professional of 1967, reinterpreted in a larger, more modern version. A brief history - DOXA made the first orange faced diving watch back in 1967 and this year we celebrate 40 years of the Orange-Mania! Clive Cussler has worn his Orange DOXA SUB on over 60 of his successful expeditions around the world since 1968. Dirk Pitt and his real-life alter-ego - Clive Cussler have been loyal DOXA customers since the DOXA SUB first surfaced back in the 1960s.The DOXA SUB 750T Professional Dirk Pitt is a reinterpretation of the original 1967 DOXA SUB. It combines the style of the original Professional in a more modern, slightly larger size. We have used a 44 mm case, and a flat sapphire crystal to provide a more modern look and feel. In add
Been somewhat inactive for the past few months, and signed in at Watchlords to re-engage myself in the watch world....what a mistake!I made the fatal error of saying I had purchased a few Invictas, had some quality issues and wanted to expand my collection to some other makers. Then the attacks began, and did not stop. Holy crap there are some angry hateful people that think Invicta is the anti-Christ! No matter what I said, I was a JS lover, a MD fan, a plant for Invicta, and on and on.The guy that started the site is apparently suing all things Invicta, and good for him if what he says happened is true....but they literally chew new members up if they even think you know how to spell Invicta. Talk about paranoid!Anyway, I had my fill after 50-60 posts calling me every name in the book and multiple requests to have my mom available for sexual encounters. Acting like a bunch of 10-year old thugs fighting over a Sears Lingerie catalog. So I am glad to be back. Among the civilized. W
