Noobie searching for more information
Good evening all,I'm new to watches and am searching for some information on a watch that was my great grandfathers. I think i have it narrowed down as a Hamilton Glenn, but I'm not completely sure . I found this link on your site: watchtalkforums.info/foru...ir-needed.html But as you can see in my pictures (sorry about the quality) the crystal on my watch is rounded, not squared off on the corners, and tapers into the case. The back of the movement has these inscriptions:hamilton 74717 jewelsadjustedusay67535Inside the back of the case has these inscriptions:a8-26-61 - seems to be hand engraved/scratched ina6-16-34 - seems to be hand engraved/scratched ins776966S&W - surrounded in a boxI have done some searching but am unable to find any decent information on this timepiece. Can anybody tell me why this Seiko has Roman numerals around the dal?
Trying to figure out any use for the Roman numerals around the dial on this Seiko Premier Kinetic. The only thing hat would point to them is the second chrono hand, and then it would be to track seconds, not hours. I've ordered this watch, but am trying to get the seller to replace the watch with one of equal or lesser value because it just seems silly to me to have the Roman numerals there. Removing GP from a watch
Is there an easy way to remove GP from a watch? I have a Bulova Super Seville that has some GP that appears to have flaked off in some areas. I want to remove it, any ideas?

Patek 5711/5712 blue dial
I have read a lot about these particular models, however have not seen one (yet) in the flesh.A question for those that own these models, is the blue dial really that captivating? from pictures that I have seen, the blue hue does seem to vary, depending on the lighting. Is it really that special?What Is the general consensus on the White dial 5711?Any thoughts?
