The movement is 30mm or 13 ? lignes in diameter and just 2.6 mm thick, with an off-center micro-oscillating weight in platinum 950. A single barrel provides 42 hours of autonomy.The nickel silver main plate is sand-blasted, circular-grained and then rhodium-plated. The bridges are sand-blasted, rubbed-down or “C?te de Gen¨¨ve” decorated, then beveled by hand and, finally, rhodium-plated. So I have been a watch fanatic for a long time. After starting out with a $300 Tissot way back when, working my way up to a Breitling eventually. Then came a Corum, another Breitling, a Zenith, a Hublot, this and that and finally I stopped at a brand that I absolutely love! Let me correct that, my heart goes out to two brands actually: Hublot and Audemars Piguet. Although one has to say that AP has the edge due to its long standing history, the tradition and heritage. Plus the quality is just astounding. If you haven't held an AP in your hand, the pictures barely ever do it justice.So after careful consideration with my fiancee, I decided to do the reasonable thing and spend what some people put down on a house to add to my collection. and behold.... here it is: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 44mm in Rose Gold.
