- I took this watch to a jeweler to get it sized to my wrist - they said it was very high quality because of how the stones were set. I would recommend this watch - it has a very dial though - but that's what I wanted

- I purchaed the charm watch in goldtone. It''s a really fun piece of jewelry. The only negative thing is it is a little too large for my wrist.

Baume & Mercier MOA8696 wrist watches news:
Hey there!I bought my first Omega just about a month ago. I would like to share some of my own photographs of this awesome watch with you. I hope you see why I enjoy it so much
I have read in several posts about people who have swaped bezels from orange to black or vice versa...it was mentioned by Scott D in "to orange or not to orange" thread where he showed that he swapped the bezel from orange to black for teh winter months. That seems like a great way to get some more versitility from the beautiful watch. I just received my very own orange/orange PO, and was wonder if you can do the the bezel swap yourself, or do you take to to you AD, or just a competent watchsmith? If you do it yourself, what tools did you use? I have done some extensive searching about this topic, and not a lot of info for the PO has been found. I did find a tool made for bezel removal from Otto F. but read several posts that it doesnt work very well for the PO. could you share your experiences on this process? Thanks in advance,Nick.
Hey guys !I was sort of bored today so I got in touch with an ebayer that I bought a few watches from the other day to see if they had been shipped yet. I was VERY glad that he didn't mail them yet! He was just about a 45 minute drive North of me so I asked if I could stop by and pick them up. He was a very nice guy and said "yes, no problem". He then said that he has a bunch more watches that I may be interested in looking at, I was like "OH REALLY"! So I stopped at the ATM and grabbed some extra cash (just in case) and I was on my way North. Upon arrival he had several boxes full of watches ready for me to go through. I cherry picked for well over an hour and I bought about 15 watches/cases. These people were VERY nice folks so we chatted for quite some time. I asked if they happen to have anymore Elgin, Waltham, Hampden or Illinois in the back somewhere? He quickly said that some guy named Greg already bought all of the Illinois stuff awhile back! HHHMMMMM ! ! ! A guy named Greg alr
Ok Gang...Once again, in my quest for all things Horological and coolI have been gathering up old ads, stock certificates and fun things for you all to see.I came across something that blew my mind!A rare pamphlet to dealers...In it there was a SURPRISE!The $1000 challenge from the Burlington Watch companyto the "Giant" GuysElgin and Waltham (and the World)Entitled: We want a test!"After the Waltham Watch Co. came out with their cleverlyphrased challenge, we answered that challenge. The Waltham challenge was so phrased as not to include American competitors; they challenged only the Swiss watches which everybody knows to be inferior. So we challenged the Waltham (and the Elgin too)But these factories have not come forward for the test. The Waltham company sent out the original "Challenge" (Left)WALTHAM CHALLENGE:(To Foreign Watches Only)"The best watches are made by Americans at American wages, with American tools. To prove it we are prepared to offer fifty Waltham watches to be run again
Pretty simple question. I've been seeing a ton of watches recently on this site; it seems endless. So here's the question. How many watches do you currently own? I'll kick it off. I have 7.Lets hear it!
