Wristwatches have long been useful tools in military life, and over the years various watch brands have created special timepieces to honor certain branches of the armed forces and those that support them. Here we re-present our updated list of seven “Tribute to the Military” watches. IWC Schaffhausen, a watch brand with deep roots in making military-grade pilots’ watches, introduced its Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun collection in 2007. Created in cooperation with the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School, known widely as “Top Gun,” the collection was expanded in 2012 with the addition of the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Miramar, a distinctly military-styled watch named for, and paying tribute to, the area in California where the Navy’s elite Top Gun pilots receive their training. Thin skeleton watch
I'm looking for a skeleton watch that is no 8mm tall, and i'd like shorter. It should be basically bare bones, with as few gears as possible.I don't want it to be too pricey, but instead something I can wear while out and not worry too much about without having it damaged. So something under say, 1200 bucks or so. I might go up to 1500 if it looks nice enough.Basically, something that looks like but preferably around 6mm - 8mm tall, with a width ranging from 35ish (if 6mm tall) to around 42.5 (if 8mm tall).I've searched for house with zero luck, and basically any help I could get would be amazing. I'd even go with a crappy Chinese replica if it's thing enough and looks nice enough.

Wore the 44 RG Grand Prix - Thoughts...
Dearest Members,As some of you know, I was the one who was on here, asking your opinions as to which watch to get...the 26470 RO (rose gold 42mm new with gold face and black dials) or the 26401 44 RG ceramic. I was having a dilemma...so one of my friends helped me out. He let me wear his RG Grand Prix (pic attached) for a few weeks. Here are my thoughts.When I first put it on, I immediately noticed how heavy and uncomfy it was...even more uncomfy than the 44RG. I have owned panerai's, ROO's, etc...all 44mm. My wrist, arm, and hand can easily handle 44mm, but this one was just too much. It could have been the carbon buttons or whatever, but it was the most uncomfortable watch I have ever tried on/worn. I forced myself to wear it for 2 weeks straight. The first few days were horrible. I took it off during the day at the office for about an hour and it felt like bricks taken off my shoulders.
