Baume & Mercier M0A08810 wrist watches news:
Recently I had the opportunity to get my hands on one of the most remarkable IWC watches of the last few years, the limited “Petit Prince” edition of IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, introduced at the 2013 Hong Kong “Watches and Wonders” fair. In this article from my blog, Watch-Insider, I provide a review and original photos. This special edition combines beauty, elegance and mechanical craftsmanship done in-house. It is packed with technical highlights, including the IWC-manufactured 51613 caliber with Pellaton automatic winding and seven-day power reserve. The latter¡¯s display in the counter at 3 o¡¯clock is a constant reminder of the movement¡¯s high efficiency. It generates enough energy to fuel a wealth of watchmaking complications, including the perpetual calendar with its four-digit year display as well as displays for the date, day and month. All the displays are easily adjusted via the crown and advance automatically.?According to IWC, the
Elegant Arabic numerals and hour markers are also made from gold. The calibre of exclusive 2202 OMEGA caliber, nestled in the case, allows small seconds counter oclock 6. This movement is an equipped officially certified chronometer of a coaxial escapement on three levels and sprung-balance available.
Hello all, I've been browsing these forums for a while now and appreciate your insight. I'm very nearly ready to make my purchase. I love the PO 2201.51 but am not sure about the orange numbers. My local AD has limited selection for me to try on. Could you recommend a similar model without the orange letters? I need the 42mm size and would like co axial movement. I appreciate any suggestions.
i just purchased a hamilton from a reputable online auctioneer who confirmed for me that the piece i was buying is 100% authentic. however, since it wasnt an AD there is some concern it could be a replica and i was hoping someone in the area with knowledge on hamilton's could possibly meet up to get an outside opinion. some of the listings on hamiltons website for AD's arent accurate and the one that is says their watchmaker is out until next week. id like to get another opinion as soon as possible as the auctioneer said if its not authentic they will refund. side note: looking at the paperwork the watch was purcahse at king wah watch & pen in singapore. thanks
Well, a little background. I don't know much about watches, only have one fairly basic Orient which I wear daily. One day (whilst lurking here) I saw a picture of someone's vintage Omega and loved it. Out of curiosity I looked them up on ebay, and saw that most are actually pretty cheap (I was thinking $1k+, I see a lot going for sub $200).I have a few questions about vintage watches in general before I post in the Omega forum about specific models and such. I guess I'll just kind of list my questions...1. Genuine? I know there are a lot of issues with fakes of newer watches, is this an issue as well with vintages, or would it be fairly easy to tell?2. Service? If a watch is 40-50 years old, I presume it would be smart to get it serviced. About how much does this cost, and how frequently is it actually supposed to be done?3. Durability? Are watches this old durable enough to be worn on a daily basis? Whatever I end up buying will be worn pretty regularly.I'll probably have more questio
