Ferrari 830017 wrist watches news:
The El Primero Chronograph Classic from Zenith, a watch launched rather quietly at Baselworld 2015, caught my eye immediately. It reminded me of those old Zeniths of the 1950s, and in my belief, will do its part in reviving an entirely overlooked category of watches that I know people love, though we don't hear much about it – that of the in-house dress chronograph, under $10,000. Sure, you have your GPs, Pateks, Langes, and Vacherons, which are all truly stunning dress chronographs, but under or at $10K, all in-house chronographs that have any real meaning are big, bulky, sport watches. This Zenith is simple, elegant, and may just be (almost) perfect. Here are my thoughts after spending a week with this new Zenith El Primero Chronograph Classic. Zenith Does An About-Face, Sort Of 1 OF 18 I'll begin this review by discussing this watch within the context of the brand that produces it. Zenith, under the control of Mr. Jean-Claude Biver, has been a bit
what model would you recomend to someone who will have only one Rolex in his collection...please note....not only one watch, but would be the only Rolex...it doesn't have to be a daily wearer...but it could. I have fairly large wrists....8 1/2 inch so a larger watch would be preferred over a 36mm. I have many watches to choose from but nothing from Rolex....seems strange for a watch collector....strange but true....I did have a YG Daytona....but traded it in. What is the model that you would recomend....and as always...pictures are more than welcome. My Old Zenith Daytona....Funny....as I look at those pics of the YG Daytona....I can't quite remember why I traded it in. Thanks in advance guy,Rob
Hello, My wife's Oyster perpetual date model 69160 has just stopped. This after a full service at Bexley in 2007.Is this normal or expectable, as they want ?300 to make it run again. The watch was serviced by a well known watch maker in 2005, not Bexley. The time keeping was not good and it stopped in 2007. I had a look in it at that point and the oil on the pivots that I could see, was no more than dust.So off to Bexley for as I thought a proper service. It did not keep very good time, even after Bexley's ministrations. Is this going to continue, as ?100 per year to keep a watch running is not on.Regards Carter.
038.jpg034.jpgI bought a nice early 1960s Lord Elgin last week. its a United States Steel retirement watch. the movement is a dura-balance 23 jewel. Im planning on getting it seviced probably after Christmas some time, along with a new band. I also bought a 760 parts movement with a awsome looking "pie-pan" style dial. I'm going to try and find a nice complete watch with with this style of dial as my next project.
...the best watch ever. More than ever it¡¯s all about functionality for me. And I¡¯m not shy about how I feel aboout the DJ41. Which is also very functional. But in the quest for the perfect watch, I¡¯m looking for a tool as much as anything else. And a tool that has robust functionality. I¡¯ve tried smart watches. So far, not for me. I¡¯ve worn and still wear the Fitbit. But for me, for now, mechanical is my path. Anywho, I¡¯m on this long windey watch journey. And I¡¯m currently away with the lady. It was a relatively easy choice what to bring. The blnr. And while a one hour difference I didn¡¯t set the GMT. It seemed pointless in this situation. But through workouts and endless snorkeling, I¡¯ve used the timing bezel. And the dial was super clear underwater. Have the date to keep a little bit of track on reality. Lume for the 2:00 am trips to the bathroom. And a little bling for the jewelry aspect of things. I¡¯ve got a sub bracelet on it and I¡¯ve adjusted the size at least a dozen times. Li
