Patek Philippe 2427 wrist watches news:
Looking for some education & enlightening here. Why is a quality winder so expensive? It seems to me that a winder is a simple device. You've got an omni-directional motor that turns around. You've got a pad or cushion that holds the watch in place. You've got a small computer circuit that tells the motor when to go & for how long. You've got some wood or leather, glass, felt or leather around a case. Yet most quality multi-watch winders seem to cost about $500 per head installed, sometimes more. And I'm not talking motorized winders that can open & raise automatically. Just a 'regular' winder. It just seems to me this is grossly overpriced for what's really in the winder. Can someone explain this to me? I've got 1 nice 6 watch winder by a quality brand, and 1 'regular' (read cheap) 8 watch winder & I readily admit the 6 watch is much better made & quieter. However, even the 6 watch winder became loud as it got older (after about 5-6 months), and now is
With a little more space in the drawer to be filled, I opted to bring home a new fellow recently. After more than a little shopping around, I was stopped deadDEAD in my tracks when I saw the new Stolas Genoa. On the website, the watch face seems to be solid white. In reality, it's slightly sliver/gray to my eye. This was a pleasant surprise to me as I wasn't entirely sure I was up for a full-on white face. Now, the attention to detail on these watches is simply fabulous. This thing wears very comfortably with the stainless band, and with the included NATO strap. I have yet to try the rubber strap that's included as well. The skelatonized hour & minute hands. The lightening bolt second hand. The lume (even on the bezel) and the hour markers surrounded in a shimmering royal blue outline. The sailing yatch and palm trees embossed on the face. The colored matched circle surrounding the date window. The waves on the bezel. The embossed logo on the right side just above the crown
Hey everyone, This is my first post to the forum and I am wanting to know if anyone here can help me identify the watch that Nick Lachey is wearing at the 4:44-5:13 minute mark in the below Youtube video. What do you guys think about the 15450ST?Tried one the other day and I thought it was fantastic. I have slightly less than 6 inch wrists and am thinking the 41mm would be too large. Curious for honest opinions if this would be the best one for my 'size' and how it looks on me. Also I am really curious about the water resistance. Their website says it has a screw lock crown, what does that mean? How many seals are there and really what does that mean for my lifestyle? I wear Rolex and Omega in the shower, hot tub and ocean because I hate taking my watches off and enjoy being able to do those things. Would this watch stand up to the task, or is it a watch you need to baby? Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi friendsThe new Russel Crowe movie, State of Play just came out in the Fiji Islands last Thursday. I saw it yesterday. Russel Crowe was wearing an anniversary moon watch with the gold sea horse logo on a leather strap in the movie. Lots of great shots of a great watch. It was a good movie also. Cheers
