I noticed that a few people mentioned Cartier in the watches we don't see in the forums post. So today's featured brand is Cartier.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Founded 1847Established Paris, FranceCartier¡¯s story:In 1847, Louis-Fran?ois Cartier takes over the jewellery workshop of his master, Adolphe Picard, at 29 rue Montorgueil in Paris. This marks the birth of the Maison Cartier. In 1899, Cartier moves into 13 rue de la Paix, the Maison¡¯s current address. The future of the Maison falls to the three Cartier brothers: Louis, Pierre and Jacques. They travel the world, from India to Russia, from the Persian Gulf to the United States. Branches are opened in London in 1902 and New York in 1909. The foundations of the Maison Cartier are laid. Cartier soon wins fame among the royal courts of Europe. The Prince of Wales, who in 1902 was to become Edward VII, proclaims Cartier ¡°Jeweller of Kings and King of Jewellers¡±, and in 1904 grants the Maison
Does anyone know if it is possible to swap bezels on the ROO 42mm?I can get the old vampire for a really good price but I really like the black ceramic bezel of the new one (but hate the strap). Just wanted to know if it was possible to get the ceramic bezel on it's own and swap them.
Did it again. I couldnt resist this awesome piece.
The local Omega dealer around here is going out of business. Its a chain of 4-5 stores. They have these huge signs plastered in the paper and on the street, play radio commercials sounding like everything must be sold today at liquidation prices etc.For the past few weeks I have stopped by to look at a Planet Ocean Chrono and they have them marked 20% off and won't move another $1. Some liquidation..... Isn't 20-25% pretty typical for an Omega? When does it become a bargain? I really love that watch but would only buy it if it was a super steal price.
