Piaget G0A32040 wrist watches news:
Hey Gang...A friend of mine picked up this little guy on the swamp and was asking me some more details about it...It is an Elgin Avigo, but there is something different about it.It has an area for a second hand (sub 6) on the dial but has it has a more modern second handthat sweeps(Red)A Red "Sweeping" handThis is odd because there is no "hole" for the seconds hand (sub 6 area) on the dialHere is the movement:Elgin case:Interesting...I have seen the watch and the second hand does seem to sweep...Does this make sense?G(sellers photos)Here was the original description:1933 Elgin Avigo aviators style wrist watch. Here is an amazing survivor, one that you will not see for a long time if ever. This is an extremely rare watch, probably one of the very last Avigo watches produced. This watch will certainly be a gem in anyones collection. There were very few of these watches produced by Elgin, and it represents the very first sweep - second hand watch produced in this Avigo model. Search as you
Wrist-shots! The Paneristi are infamous for their wrist-shots. Come on, you know people have given you "the look" when you're caught taking a picture of your outstretched wrist! I'll start it off. Here is one I took today at one of my favorite parks.
Hi all,I just purchased a Movado Series 800 watch, and upon arrival, learned that the bracelet is extremely tight on my wrist. I called a dealer and learned that they charge about $50 per link (I need at least two), which I thing is rediculous for a watch I paid about $350 for. I normally wear an eco-drive, and Citizen was quick to send two free links at the drop of a hat.Can someone tell me where I could find a good deal on extra links for this watch?Thank you very much!!
Are there any chronographs that have large sweep seconds hands? I like the look of several chronos, but I don't like having the seconds counted only on the subdial. Are there any that have a full sweep seconds hand? Or would you just have to end up keeping the chrono running at all times, and if so how would that affect the power reserve?
I've asked DavidSW for a 5711/1A-001 a couple of weeks ago and as you all , its very hard to come by, especially if you are looking for a bit of a discount. Today on my 3 day layover in London, I passed by Boodles in Knightsbridge and saw/tried this on:
