- I purchased this watch for my husband since he needed one that was functional but not expensive just in case he damaged it at work. It is a nice watch for the price. Extremely sturdy with lots of extras. He loves it!

As part of the Presidential Timepieces exhibit at the National Watch & Clock Museum, we are creating a video of Jim Michael's examinations of the watches in the exhibit. I have posted a rough cut of his examination of LBJ's Patek Philippe wristwatch on the Museum's YouTube channel. You can watch the 6 minute video at:youtube/watch?v=ZQA5Icegnx4Noel Poirier
Hi All,I have Hamilton Viewmatic which i bought about three months ago.Recently, I realized that when I shake the watch, I can hear a little ticking sound. Since it is an automatic, I'm not sure if the sound is coming from the moment or it is indeed spoilt. This morning I had a bit of a problem winding it too. After winding, it does not start moving until I retried a few times.Any opinions?
I was wondering what value this watch has. It is 27/50. Says not for sale on the baok as well. I did find there was a 500 limited run but this is not one of them. Any ideas as to value on such a small run of 50 timepieces ?
Forgive the length of my first (!) post, it's been a long time in the making:After years and years of wandering through the hinterland of watch collecting, I have finally decided to jump into the deep end of the pool. I, like many here on this forum, have been through more watches than I care to count, yet few have held my interest for long. I'e been through the big watch phase of Bell&Ross and Panerai, only to be disappointed. I found an AP 15300, but the bracelet, although beautiful, just didn't work for me and it, too, was sold. On a whim, I tried on a white 5711 at my local AD (more than I thought I'd ever actually spend, but we know how that goesĄ) and was struck by the slinky bracelet and lightness of the watch, which fit like a glove. But I really wanted the blue. Thus began the infuri
