Purchasing new PAM, need help deciding
I have been trolling for the past few weeks and finally decided to post. So I could use your collective advice. I am considering purchasing a new Panerai from an AD and have narrowed it down to the PAM111 and the PAM90. I like the 111 for it��s simplicity and the 90 for the date and power reserve indicator. My concern with the 111 is that its manual wind vs. the 90 being automatic. Anyone have experience with these models. What are your thoughts on manual vs. automatic? I have only 1 manual watch and it doesn��t see much wrist time. Pictures courtesy of panerai are attached for reference.

This is going to sound odd but how would you compare these two companies in quality or standing in the watch world. I always thought these companies were on Par with each other but I had a conversation with someone the other day who said JLC was not in the same league as GO. Personally, I wish they would leave well enough alone; but, for us in the US (and possibly other countries), our watches and clocks get turned ahead one hour tonight. Don't forget to set the clocks before you turn in!

I have a Double Eagle Constellation 18K/SS bought in 2008. It's been discontinued as you may know. An AD told me today that a current new similiar watch now retails for 8K! Can this be true? Same 2500 co-axial movement, looks the same....What am I missing?
