Baume & Mercier A10014 wrist watches news:
I thought about posting this in Off-Topic, but this forum seems to get the most visitors. Perhaps a MOD can move it somewhere more appropriate.I have noticed an increase of members posting random photos where vehicle license plates are visable and not redacted. Please be careful. Any Police Officer and some civilian clerks that have easy access to National data bases like NCIC or NLETS can obtain EVERY piece of information available about you and your relatives. Not just name, DOB, address, etc. But possibly sensitive and very personal arrest and traffic citation history's, how much you paid for the vehicle, what your payments are, civil judgements, the list goes on for ever. Now of course it is unlawful for an officer to utilize a database for anything other than criminal investigations, but this is adhered to about as much as you guys checking in to WTF while at work. Please use photo shop to redact your plates.
I found an old mechanical watch today at a charity shop with a lady mouse on it and the word Piggy under her. This is not Minnie Mouse. Has anyone ever heard of Piggy?TIA!
My 2 week old 5205g has been scratched. I have no idea how it happened!Since this is my first Patek, this has lead me to wonder about some of the aspects of servicing. My AP, for example, I can service it within two years regardless if it is broken or not, and they did mine for free. They also polished the case in the process.Does service work the same way with Patek? Thanks in advance!
Many will not understand this purchase {when you already have the 1R} but after trying to like my new Rolex GMT WG Pepsi, I just could not get there. Why have a new watch which is your least favorite? I could not even bring myself to de sticker it. I know I am in the minority here but I like TT models and have owned many. I wear short sleeves year round and wanted a PP that can be under the radar. I really love the entire 5980 line and have I mentioned the blue dial........ George from Govberg made me an offer taking in my Pepsi on this trade which was really fair. Being a TT and the blue dial color, it really seems like a different watch. So now the wait for the FedEx truck begins again. I have finally found the cure for my Rolex addiction.
Maybe this has already been covered somewhere else on this forum?I was at a Rolex boutique in Tokyo on Saturday and they showed me two Turn-O- Graph watches they said were limited edition models for Japan only. They were priced at around 934,000 yen each. They had a white dial Turn-O-Graph with green Turn-O-Graph lettering and a green second hand; the other a black dial version. The lady with whom I was speaking said there are 300 of each being produced for sale. I tried on both versions. I have to say they looked great. My scanner is not working properly, so I took a few pictures of the photo cards she gave me. I also grabbed a photo off of a Japanese web site.
