- When I first received the watch it only looked slightly larger than previous g-shocks i've had but after wearing it around for a couple of days it got extremely annoying. If you want a large watch its fine but personally its a little too large.

Baume & Mercier 10009 wrist watches news:
After a few challenging economic years for the watch industry, in which some feared big-ticket haute horlogerie timepieces were on the wane, tourbillon watches came roaring back at this year’s Baselworld. Here’s a trio of unusual tourbillons that grabbed our attention.Chopard brings its long association with motorsports? to bear in the design of its new L.U.C. Engine One Tourbillon, which is built to resemble the engine block of a high-performance racecar. The horizontally oriented titanium case contains a manual-wound tourbillon movement, Chopard Caliber L.U.C. 04.02-L, designed and assembled at Chopard’s manufacture in Fleurier, Switzerland. The openings in the movement resemble those on a car engine’s air intake; the engraved grooves on the dial-side bridges are inspired by engine-block cylinder heads and are a functional part of the mainplate. The case features contrast in its polished and brushed surfaces as well as in its cut-off curves and concave surface
I am thinking about getting a Patek 5711r and would like some feedback. I have only seen this model in pics and am wondering if it's a dressy watch, or can be tastefully worn with jeans and button down shirt. I don't get dressed up in suit and tie all that often and only prefer to buy watches that I can wear with almost anything I'd wear to work. In addition, I don't like overly flashy watches - even though my personal favorite is an AP ROO RG Rubberclad that I wear all of time (I know - hypocritical, but the AP seems very sporty to me). Anyway, for those who have seen it, what are your thoughts on the 5711r? Thank you. Calfee
So what are your thoughts on how often one should service an automatic watch...I have heard various answers ranging from every 3-4 years to don't do it unless you are actually experiencing a problem with the watch.Thoughts?
I just thought about this. I'm sure someone has had a sail cloth strap made for a Pam right? I'm a sucker for the strap on the fifty fathoms and thought it would look great on a Pam.
So I have a theory. I saved up for a long time to buy my first Rolex a month ago. One thing that pissed my off, was the bezel didn't line up at 12 with the click. Evidently this is a known issue with ceramic bezels. Some believe since this a mass produced product it was ok to have QC issues. Since it's a Rolex it's ok to have a flaw. Other brands don't seem to get judged the equally. When looking used I was afraid of getting a fake. Buy the seller not the watch. Doing my research I was told Rolex watches are supposed to be perfect if they are real. I think over the years the philosophy of perfection has gone away. Either due to increased capacity to meet demand or their QC has gone down. No company produces everything perfect and there is always going to be one offs. Long story short - maybe Rolex is slowing down production to fix QC. They could also be getting ready for changing over of the big selling modelswith new movements. Personally, if I owned Rolex I would be firing people in
