Breitling c3733012/ba54-1lt wrist watches news:
So last time I posted about deciding between a new and used submariner and the best way to go about it. After that, I had a long debate with myself about the date vs the non-date, and then further about the non-date certified vs no certification. Well, I've decided I like the clean, classic look of the no-date, no certification. I find this look to be the most iconic, and I plan on wearing it with a NATO strap for much of the time. I'm very excited, but since this watch is no longer in production I would appreciate any advice on what exactly to look for when buying this piece used, and how much I should expect to pay (I am thinking somewhere between $3400-3800?). Also I will be going to my house in Florida in 3 weeks and plan on purchasing then because of the aforementioned price difference between Rolexes in Canada and the United States. I'm in Naples, so if anyone is aware of a good place to look I would appreciate it. Thanks!
My father picked up a watch like the one below for 5$ at a garage sale last year, At the time he showed it to me, I had not been interested in watches, and basically thought it looked cool but ...whatever, Lately. I have been thinking about it more, and have started getting interested in watches. now here is the problem. When I googled it. The version I found similar on the web says its a ladies watch. Which I don't understand. As its as big as my men's seiko. I have thought about buying it from him to wear myself, keeping in mind none of my real life friends would ever know anything about it being a ladies watch, But I am wondering what you all think. And worry that someday out in public some watch collector would laugh at me if he seen it on my wrist......The below photo is a stock photo that I found going off of memory, I asked mom and dad to text me a photo of it, when they do I will post the real one, regardless I told him he got a great dealA similar one was "liste

Here's a little something to steam Ed's tail (and also the rest of you GMT lovers). The following is a 1973 Rolex ad for the Red Sub 1680, supposedly featuring Thor Heyerdahl and his Ra II expedition. However, the guy in the photo with the sextant is not Thor, it's Capt. Norman Baker, Thor's navigator, and Norman wasn't given a Sub, he was given an engraved GMT 1675 (which he showed to me in March). What gives? Did they have Photoshop back in 1973?
