Baume & Mercier M0A08761 wrist watches news:
Made for a man, sized for a woman? Apparently that is what Swedish watch designer Gabriel Arlanch had in mind when making his first watch, the Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 as it is 32mm wide. Little! Sorta kid sized, or lady sized. Maybe I am getting it all wrong and this is a woman's watch. The was was announced mid last year, but this is the first I have heard of it. Aside from the passable looks, the real press release filler for the watch is it's eco-friendly features. Also, if the watch is Swedish, why does it say "Made in Germany" on it? Swedish design. Swiss movement, Germany manufacture. At least it looks that way.First the 14k gold case is make of recycled gold. Not sure what the means, but I think that "recycling gold" is more a business than it is being eco-friendly. Maybe the gold is taken from industrial use, which is possible. Though I don't consider women selling their jewelry to avoid their houses being foreclosed exactly Earth preservation inspired. Then you have the leathe
When did Citizen watches start to become the target of fakes? Its true. I first learned that Watches-brandwatches-dealer was selling fake Citizen Campanola watches, such as the Grand Complication. This sort of makes sense as the watches are all above $2000 and feature quartz movements. But then I learned that they didn't stop there. They are making fake watches based on authentic Citizen watches which themselves are only a few hundred dollars brand new. I get the market for the fake Rolex or Patek Philippe, but what is the message of faking a Citizen? Something like "I'd really like people to think I am middle class third world country, because I identify that with the highest level of success I'll ever possibly reach, but my status is merely enough to convince people I know how to tell the time if I am wearing a watch." Yes, this statement is odd and contrived, but so is faking a Citizen. Not that there is anything wrong with Citizen, I proudly own a few myself, but I'd never see a re
Hi everyone. I am new here and really need some advice.I am thinking about buying a Mens Datejust from one seller. To the eyes, the dial is "blue with diamonds". However, the Rolex warranty paper (that will also come with the watch) only indicates "DIAL: BLUE VIGNETTE SERTI" without mentioning anything about diamonds. My question: Does the Rolex warranty paper always have to indicate that the dial has diamonds if the watch, a Datejust in particular, has a factory diamond dial?I am afraid that I will be buying a watch with aftermarket diamonds that will make me very disappointed. Please please help educate me. Thank you!
What is your opinion about the best make of gold plated aftermarket band ?I'm looking to get one and i'll try to get something that will last.
