Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Supercharged Watch
Is the "big watch" going to make a comeback for 2014? That is hard to say, but Swiss Maurice Lacroix has an XXL-sized horological entrant with their 48mm wide sized Pontos S Supercharged. It continues the Pontos S legacy that began in 2012, and last year in 2013 resulted in the Pontos S Extreme (hands-on here). The Extreme had some interesting colors and now the Supercharged is all about bold design and size.We've always liked the Pontos S for its forward-thinking design and sharp modern looks while conforming to traditional standards of legibility and functionality. And don't forget that cool crown for the inner rotating bezel that is connected to the chronograph start/stop pusher. All of that is retained in the Pontos S Supercharged, but with some design updates and a different movement. While the standard Pontos S chronograph made use of a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750, the Pontos S Supercharged will make use of the still very uncommon Valgranges caliber. Hey,My first day here was pretty interesting. Apart from the the sightseeing and drinking spree in the night, I visited a handful of watch dealers - both showrooms and pre-owned dealers and I was BLOWN away with the amount of high end brands that I saw on display. Rolex, AP, VC, PP, A.Lange....they were all there! Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been lurking for months so I feel like I already know many of you. After gathering so much valuable information and lusting over the pictures here, I finally today acquired my first AP! I am guessing since this is a Panerai subforum of the Rolex forum that the answer is yes. I would love to see some pictures (either wrists or side by sides) or stories from those that do.I currently have a 560.I am going to a two watch collection, and was initially thinking adding a Polar Explorer 2, since I am typically OCD about watch sizes being similar in a collection. With my 7.5 wrist, I have owned everything fro 38mm to 45.5mm, but I tend to not have dissimilar sizes in the same collection.Does the SubC feel small when switching from the PAM?ThanksGreg
