Seiko SNAE47 wrist watches news:
When you wear a watch, do you wear it for yourselfOr do you wear it for everyone else? As an avid watch collector with a self-admitted wrist fetish, I am curious to know the varying answers to this question.Outside of my own watch-buying and watch-wearing behavior, I make this query because my company recently referred one of our customers to do business with a law firm which has represented us for over 20 years. At the initial meeting in the law firm¡¯s office, I couldn¡¯t help but notice the bling'd-out solid gold Rolex our customer (we¡¯ll call him ¡°Alan¡±) was wearing and had obviously forced over his shirt cuff. You know the one: red, white, and blue stones encrusted all the way around, and particularly popular amongst the baseball players - what with the matching bling¡¯d-out bracelet for the other wrist. I wondered if Alan felt compelled to make sure all the major league players at this law firm noticed the junk on his wrist - and if so, why. What message was he trying to convey? One
Isn't that one of the most peaceful places you've ever been? I keep promising my wife that we'll go. I've been 50+ times, but she's never seen that magnificent place.
I am powerless to resist a vintage chronograph in good shape, particularly if it has an original or whimsical element to the design. Here's an Eska - brand name of S. Kocher, "ess-Ka" being the way you would pronounce the initials of the manufacturer in German. It's not a brand with a particularly distinguished reputation - an etablisseur (watch assembler) rather than a manufacture - but I always watch out for Eskas because there is often something quirky or weird (good-weird!) about their designs. In favor of the purchase: - The contrast between blue hands and bronze face - Batman hands! - A dial strongly reminiscent of a Vacheron that once caught my eye - odd flanged lugs - pretty decent shape overall - 38mm - really decent price on the 'bay...who collects Eska?Against the purchase - couldn't think of anything
Hi all, this is my first post here. I've been looking for a new watch and recently came across Swiss Military Watch and Charmex (CX) Swiss Military Watch. Originally, I thought maybe they were the same brand but their logos are pretty different so I started looking around. They're two different companies in Switzerland. How do they stack up against each other? Their pricing seems to be similar, the CX Swiss Military Watch models may be a little higher but that doesn't necessarily mean they're better. I'm leaning towards Swiss Military Watch just because they're a little more simplified and that's what I like. What do you guys think? Now, I know of 4 brands that use the term "Swiss Military." It's getting awfully confusing...-Wenger Swiss Military-Swiss Military Hanowa-Swiss Military Watch-Charmex (CX) Swiss Military Watch
