Seiko SRP490 wrist watches news:
Round about now is when I wish I could take better pictures.Ah well; hopefully you get the idea.....Got an enamel dial Endicott a few years ago; face looking like a sepia toned antique photo of what it should be. (Due, I surmise, to the laquer going off with age)Spotted a good looking dial on ebay some months ago and had to ask my good friend Oldlyme14 if he could bid on it for me as the vendor would not ship to Australia. Fortunately the vendor did not know what he had and Mark was able to win the bid for a very modest sum. Was excitied to find no refinishers' marks on the back; so it would appear that it is a genuine New Old Stock dial. For $15 the local watch guy swapped the dials and, despite my poor photographs, i trust you will see why I like this version of the Endicott so much. BEFOREYES PLEASE; I'LL HAVE THAT....despite the scuff markAFTER What scuff mark?
Hey all, wanted to post a few pics of the Square that I just got back from the shop. My first Hamilton. Had to redial this one as the original was pretty beat up. Thought they did a nice job. Anyone got any history on it? Doesn't seem to be well documented as far as I can tell. Sorry for the crummy pics; just from iPhone. Need to get a mem card for the dslr :-/Enjoy!
As I was reading the most recent post to the thread about the stolen Hamilton's, it made me think (again) to ask whether anyone has a database that they would be willing to share. I'm sure we all have something (most probably Excel files, I'd wager!), but I would like to see if anyone has a format that is a 'best practice' rather than creating one from scratch. Thanks in advance
I think that's what they're called They have a small window in the face that displays the hour and minutes. Looks kind of like a predecessor of digital watches.Anybody know about them, have one, or have opinions about them? They seem like an interesting oddity, if nothing else. Here's one that I find very interesting:cgi.ebay/Vintage-Benrus-D...#ht_783wt_1167
Hi all,Hope everyone had a lovely holiday!I'm JUST ABOUT to pull the trigger on a PAM557,but can't find any comparison shots with a Rolex DSSD for size. Considering the PAM372 is so comparable to the PAM557, I was wondering if anyone had some side by side shots with the DSSD they could share to push me over the edge (or save me from making a mistake) ??Thanks much,Andrew
