I purchased this watch on ebay fairly recently. I had fallen in love with it 9 months prior and finally gave in and bought it. I did all I could to make sure I was purchasing the real deal by the pictures provided by the seller and talking to him. I have since taken the back off myself as well as had it looked at by a professional at my local watch shop to verify its authenticity. The other point in its favor was that I figured nobody would bother making a replica this good of this watch since it isn't exactly the most commonly sought after brand or model. My only real concern was that the logo on the rotor wheel is in a different style than most Hamiltons I've seen, but from the stock pictures online I found some with this type of engraving and others with the more common kind. It does however seem to be the authentic movement for this watch and I'm assuming it was a variation by year or model or something. Input on this issue would be appreciated. I think it's a beautiful wat
I was the lucky guy who won the NFW AutoPilot in the WATCH TALK FORUMS Patron Sponsor Watch Giveaway. How did I get so lucky?!? It is a great watch- good heft; wears big but not obnoxiously so; two great bands; and an awesome, unique look! But enough of the rubbing-in. Thanks again for John and the WATCH TALK FORUM for the contest, and now on to the pictures! 100_0137.jpg100_0123.jpgLeather- heavy, oiled leather is classy and appears very durable 100_0132.jpg100_0135.jpgRubber- my favorite so far100_0128.jpgI even included one with the leather band on my screen-namesake's rocker panel
After many long years, months and days I finally managed to track down a complete and more importantly mint condition Alaska Project Limited Edition Speedmaster. To say that I'm over the moon ;) is an understatement of epic proportions. I just can't wait until it reaches my doorstep. Thanks George AB!Copper
