A few days ago, I promised GrumpyGuy that I'd write a brief review of the Tissot SeaStar 1000 with the (somewhat) new Powermatic 80 movement. In the interest of full disclosure, I need to tell you that I'm not a review writing kind of guy, but since I promised...Tissot has been around for a while. 162 years if my aging eyes read the dial text correctly. 5726 - good idea?
Hello,I am thinking of purchasing the 5726 from my AD when available. It will become my joint daily wearer alongside my 5205R black dial.Any thoughts on this reference? Specifically if the bezel is a scratch magnet and if the finish holds up well to daily usage? I like my watches to stay looking fresh. I would mostly use it on the leather strap but also put it on the composite for holidays where we would be by the pool.Also any alternative suggestions in case there's a model I've missed? I want a little more sporty design, in white metal, on a strap and a case that isn't too thin (so no 5712). Given these factors the Nautilus and specifically the 5726 seems the obvious choice. I think the watch itself is a real beauty and I love the symmetry of the dial in addition to the slightly chunky Nautilus case - so much presence! The only negative really is that I already have the AC complication on my 5205.Any thoughts? Thanks.
