Bought a ss zenith daytona
Hi all, I finally bought a white dial stainless steel zenith daytona today. I paid $11600 for it. Don't know whether is it overprice, feel guilty after paying so much. It comes with box, oyster manual but no paper and zenith daytona manual. I was pretty surprise the shop next to it is selling zenith daytona manual for a price of $8. Without thinking I quickly grab one zenith daytona manual. Wow ebay is selling zenith daytona at $150 and i think i was lucky to get one at only $8.My digital camera was spoilt because my mum took it to korea for holiday and drop it. Will upload pics once I bought a new camera.

after quite a few years away from the WIS scene, i've decided to renew my passion for watches. i must admit that this has been triggered by my brother wanting me to repair a broken link on the seiko sport 150 that i got for him one christmas over 20 years ago now. and the reason i got hooked last time was because he wanted a breitling aerospace, which i also got for him as a christmas present.priority 1, as i see it, is for me to get the bezel on my seiko 7S26-0040 (rolex sub look-a-like) sorted. but that's another story.prioriity 2 is to actually build my vintage omega seamaster 300 (SM300). i've got everything i need except a few tools and a bit of knowledge to go with them (i think!!!).my first job is to replace the date wheel on the cal. 565 moverment that i've got. it's silver and curved and i want to fit the black flat one that i've also got. so, anyone know precisely how i go about removing said date wheel? i imagine (hope) it's just a matter of taking off a few screws.

Sorry for starting a new thread about this, but I posted this message in another thread a couple of days ago, and no luck - so hopefully I can get some better response by putting it in a new one instead. This is what I wrote;From somebody who's not buying watches in the US on a regular bases, that being me Is it very common to get up to 30% discount on a Omega watch from an AD?I'm asking because I'll be visiting NY in a couple of weeks, and it would be interesting to know a little more about this because I might try to find something for my wife. But perhaps it would be difficult to get this kind of discount from an AD in a place like NY (Manhattan that is)?So any advice here would be most appreciated!Cheers,Joe
