I am interested for comments on my recent experience with an online retailer: I purchased a Rolex 114200 from a company I will not mention because the purchase has been made right. However, I am curious about the experience.When I took the watch to a local AD, i was told that the watch was really a model 114234, Air King with white gold fluted bezel. The watch was delivered to me as a 114200 with smooth ss bezel. The retailer immediately took the watch back and sent a new one which I confirmed was a true 114200.My question is this:On the original supplied watch, how and why was the bezel switched from the original 114234?

My very first watch was/is a casio, one of these days I'll post a pic of that beat up relic.This particular watch isn't expensive, isn't an auto or even a mechanical.But I've worn this watch alot since aquiring it close to 20 yrs ago.The bezel rotates to lighten or darken the dial, I normally leave it at a shade of green,lightening it enough lets you see it's LCD display, while in the selected mode,stores phone numbers, and fax numbers. The name scrolls by as the number is displayed constantly. Was really handy back in the dawn of cell phone technology.

Breitling Colt black steel
Hi, I am currently on the look for a black steel watch, my 2 options now are the blackbird 44 and the colt chrono. While looking for the colt the AD told me that it is no longer available and the model is discontinued. He was not aware why but I am surprised since it is relatively a new model. White Metals
garner interesting opinions. Some think them to be too cold, while others think they are very cool.I think it would be very cool to obtain a platinum chrono piece (perhaps a pre-owned ALS Datograph or PP 5960P/Blk dial) to join the other two white metals I have. Then I could have a trilogy of metals. But in the meantime, I shall enjoy the other two white metals - steel and white gold & appreciate them for what they offer.
