Breitling B71340L2/A688-lizard-brown-deployant wrist watches news:
The company specializes in making mechanical watches of great technical workmanship that are among the most sought-after timepieces in the field.
Hello, I'm new but wanted to post my two Omega's. My Sea Master (4 years old) and my newly purchased Planet Ocean.
Hello Watch Talk member,I just received my first ever vintage watch. It's a 1906 modified Omega skeleton converted to a wristwatch. I know it's not "original" but just fell it love with the way it looks. What I'm wondering is about getting the watch started. It has been explained to me that the older watches should never be wound too tightly. Of course, it's not running right now since I just got it out of the shipping box. It winds ("ratchets") very easily counterclockwise but there seems to be substantial resistance if I try to move the crown clockwise. I can tell that I only need to pull the knob out to set it, but am wondering what I need to do to get it running.I sent an email to the seller, but since it's late in the day, I may not hear back from him this evening. I would love to have this running and on my wrist tonight. Any recommendations regarding this watch from some of you old pro's would be very helpful for this newbie. Thanks very much!
Well, I've gone ahead and started a massive, ambitious project that I cannot possibly accomplish on my own. I will need a great deal of help locating images to use in the photo thread. If you will allow your images to be transferred to that thread to build a complete as possible photo database of models, just post here. I can search all your past posts and transfer the images. If your photo account is public, I can transfer them directly from there. If you have better images than what is there or a dial variation that should be shown, I will add or substitute as necessary.Whatever you think is the best way to add your photos, that's what we'll do. Maybe we can even leave the thread open for anybody or certain members to edit, as in wikipedia? Please discuss.
Some new pics of my lovely 5711/1R catching some rays. Been too few and far between this month.
