Baume et Mercier 10153 wrist watches news:
Watch-and-jewelry designer David Yurman, famous for his signature cable bracelet, has teamed up with muscle-car?visionary Carroll Shelby, creator of the legendary Shelby Cobra, to create Yurman’s first limited-edition sports watch, the David Yurman Revolution Shelby 1000.The Shelby watch, which is available in two case versions ¡ª one in stainless steel and one “all-black” model with black PVD ¡ª? is the centerpiece of David Yurman’s recently introduced family of sports watches, called Revolution. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Shelby American brand, founded by Carroll Shelby, which produced the Cobra and other high-performance sports cars that tore up the worldwide auto racing circuit in the 1960s and early 1970s. The release of the watch coincides with the introduction of the new Shelby 1000 Mustang, described by the company as its most powerful car to date. (Wallpaper images of the Shelby 1000 car are at the bottom of the article.)The watch features
As a tribute to Steve Jobs, De Bethune has created a 12-piece limited edition “spaceship-inspired” iPhone shield in polished and bead-blasted titanium. The Dream Watch IV dial is hand-polished blued titanium with gold and diamond stars. The raised, arrow-shaped “spine” draws the eye to the silvered hour and minute disks. The Dream Watch IV follows De Bethune’s launch of the DBM, a crocodile cell phone case fitted with a traditional two-hand timepiece, referred to by De Bethune as “a pocketwatch for the 21st century.”Of the new Dream Watch IV, De Bethune says it both protects the owner’s iPhone, and shields the owner from any “potentially damaging waves” emanating from the device. Dream Watch IV uses De Bethune’s DB2105S caliber with twin barrels and a silicon/platinum annular balance, both of which are patented by De Bethune. The Dream Watch IV will be officially unveiled at the De Bethune exhibition to be held in the Gra
Yes, incredible as it sounded to me, the last day we were in Las Vegas last this week, our taxi driver looks at my watch and said, "Nice Daytona. I love that watch, I have one too." I asked him how he got it, what the story was. He said he was on an AD's list in Las Vegas for a while and finally got the call. He said he could have easily gotten a TT one for about the same money or less, but he had to have a SS one. I told him about this forum and wrote down the link for him on the back of my business card. Maybe we'll see him here one day. He said taxi drivers can make about $70k a year there after I mentioned that he's doing quite well for himself. He said he also gets to most of the shows in Vegas for free. Some taxi association gets him free tix and then he tells passengers how great the show was if he likes it. Pretty cool dealOn with the storywent to Vegas this week for 5 nights for the first time and loved it. We had free airfare due to points we saved up over many year
Guys,I am really loving the way the 44mm ROO fills my wrist and there is only one left amongst all the AD of London. Does the 44mm Rose Gold Offshore look odd with a suit or tux? Is it inappropriate for a work atmosphere? Is it not the right watch for someone who doesn't have a few other, dressier watches? The dealer said they are releasing a really nice leather strap for the Rose Gold Offshore. Have any of you seen the watch on a nice leather, or even better, a horn leather strap? Does the Rubber look better? Pics would be great. Thanks,Farris
How tough is the Aquanaut?I was a long-time wannabe PP owner until I finally bought a 5127J last year. After owning just Rolex watches, I've wanted that Calatrava for a while because I think it is very refined. Now I have the sickness. PP's are worse than Lay's. You know you can't have just one. I was/am a Rolex wearer and own several. I've slowly started giving them away to family members. Now that I'm middle-aged and don't have fantasies of living a life of action and adventure and am a family man, the appeal of Rolex is diminishing while that of PP is growing. So my question to everyone here: How tough is the Aquanaut? Would you say it is as robust as the Submariner? Can it take a beating? By which I mean travel, some diving (not below 60M...it is a diving watch after all), carrying stuff (kids, boxes, usual rubbish), and normal day to day wear. I'm not a Navy Seal or anything like that. I'm not going to be jumping out of planes and rolling around in hand to hand combat
